FROM THE PRINCIPAL – no one is be in the high school hallway during lunch without permission.

 

ALSO FROM THE PRINCIPAL – there is too much trash in the hallways after lunch.  If you don’t clean up your act, you will not be able to take food out of the cafeteria.

 

School pictures will be taken Wednesday, September 23. 

 

JUNIOR AND SENIORS – if you are interested in a Marine ROTC scholarship, a representative will be here on September 21 at 11:30 a.m.  Please sign up in the office.

 

AFTERNOON CTC STUDENTS – we are going to run the CTC bus today for those who want to attend.  Students who would like to stay and participate in the Homecoming festivities must report to the library after lunch until the student body is released for the parade.  Attendance will be taken.  You may not leave.

 

SOPHOMORES –  we need you!  Float tear down will be on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.  The more of you we have the quicker it will be.  Please don’t make Megan and her family have to do it alone just because it is at their barn.  P.S. PAY YOUR DUES!

 

The Varsity Club is now accepting applications for membership.  Applications are in the athletic wall pocket and are due to Mr. Joe by Friday, September 25.  Please see Ms. Gilson or Mr. Joe if you have questions.

 

The semi-formal Homecoming Dance is scheduled for Saturday, September 19 from 8-11:15 p.m.  The cost is $5.00 per person.  If your date for the dance is not a Lake City High School student, you must register him/her in the office by the end of lunch on Friday, September 18.  The sheet is on the counter.

There will be a short practice for all Homecoming representatives today at 10:30 a.m.  Meet in the gym.

 

NHSers – the Coats for Kids Italian Dinner will be held in the cafeteria today.  They are looking for some set-up help starting at 3:30 p.m..  See Ms Bernier ASAP if you are willing and able to help.

All seniors are to meet with Mrs. Pedlar today at 11:50 in room 11.

 

Students will vote for king and queen during fourth hour today.  Students that do not have a fourth hour class must contact Mrs. Richardson to vote.

 

NHSers – the Coats for Kids Italian Dinner will be held in the cafeteria tomorrow.  They are looking for some set-up help starting at 3:30.  See Ms Bernier ASAP if you are willing and able to help.

 

The following students are to see Mrs. Peterson during lunch today:  Ruby Hooker, Jill Brown, Gerianne Wood, Miranda Hutchinson, Mikayla Granger, Sam Roach, Will Jackson, Baylee Tinch, and Sam Slack.

9TH GRADERS - a truck is needed to pull the float for the Homecoming parade on Friday and the Festival of the Pines parade on Saturday.  We also need a convertible for Friday.

 

SOPHOMORES – Great job on the float.  You are awesome!  We are still in need of people to help sell tickets at the football game this Friday, and to sell 50/50 raffle tickets.  If some of you don’t step up we will give these jobs to another class and they will get the money for it!  If you have already signed up, you need to find an adult to help you.  Lastly, remember to pay your class dues - $10.00 this year.

GENERAL

 

9TH GRADERS – great job on the float so far – but we have more to do.  We will work today and Thursday from 5:30-8:00 p.m.  A truck is needed to pull the float on Friday - and Saturday for the Festival of the Pines parade.  A convertible is also needed for Friday’s homecoming parade.

 

9TH GRADERS – the student council is in need of chaperones for the Wednesday night bonfire and Saturday night dance.  See Erik May, Kyle Allard, Mrs. Richardson, or Mrs. VanderBrook if your parents can chaperone.

All 9th grade girls interested in playing basketball see Mr. Gagnon as soon as possible.

 

Sports physicals will no longer be offered at Lake City Area Schools.  All students planning on participating in athletics for the 2009-2010 school year must provide the athletic department with a completed physical card before practices begin in August.  Physical cards are now available – you will find them in the athletic wall pockets.   If you have questions see Mr. Peterson or Ms. Gilson.

Sports physicals will no longer be offered at Lake City Area Schools.  All students planning on participating in athletics for the 2009-2010 school year must provide the athletic department with a completed physical card before practices begin in August.  Physical cards are now available – you will find them in the athletic wall pockets.   If you have questions see Mr. Peterson or Ms. Gilson.

GENERAL

Anyone interested in playing American Legion Summer Baseball please sign up on the sheet posted outside the office.

 

There will be a quick junior class meeting at 3:10 on Wednesday, 6/3.

 

See Mr. Yeomans if you are interested in taking Segment 1 Driver’s Education through Baker College and driving a convertible for your student driving.  Enrollment forms are available in the pockets outside the high school office.

 

Future AP English Students:  There will be an AP English meeting on Thursday during lunch to receive your first summer assignment and to set the first meeting date.  Grab your lunch and meet in Mrs. Phil's room.  Please bring your summer calendar dates that you know you will be out of town.

 

 


COUNSELOR’S CORNER

There will be tutoring tonight and Thursday of this week if you need a place to study and need help reviewing.

 

The Go To Team will be meeting today (Tuesday) during lunch in Room #11.  Last meeting of the year!

 

CTC students – you are able to, and expected to, attend CTC through Thursday.  There will be no bus to CTC on Friday, so your last day there will be Thursday.  You cannot stay here during your scheduled CTC time.  An absence will count toward your grade.

Attention Track Athletes – You must turn your uniform in at Coach Colecchio’s office if you have not already done so.

 

There will be a boys basketball open gym today (June 2) at the middle school from 3:45-5:30 p.m.  If you need to call home about this – do so during your LUNCH BREAK!
