If you are taking an on-line or independent study class this semester and plan to continue, you will need to fill out a request form for next semester, even if you have already talked to Mrs. Richardson.  See Mrs. Richardson for a form and turn it in to her ASAP.  The deadline to turn in requests for independent study classes for 2^nd semester will be Friday, December 20, the last day before break.

The student council canned food drive needs your donations!  Please bring in canned food items through tomorrow to your class advisor to earn spirit points and help families in need.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

Seniors – Mrs. Richardson has applications for the Mason Scholarship.  Applications need to be turned in by Friday, November 22.  Remember that four letters of recommendation are required to be turned in with your application.

 

There will be a full Go To Team meeting this Thursday, during 3^rd hour in Mrs. Peterson’s room.  Please check in with your teacher for attendance before you go to the meeting.  Let Mrs. Richardson or Mrs. Peterson know if you are not able to be there.

 

Registration for dual enrollment through Mid-Michigan Community College for 2^nd semester is open.  If you are interested in dual enrollment for 2^nd semester, see Mrs. Richardson for eligibility requirements and enrollment information.

 

ATHLETICS

 

Varsity volleyball district match @ Kalkaska, match begins at 7:30 p.m., bus departs at 6:15 p.m.

 

There is a meeting in Mr. Prielipp’s room this Friday during lunch for anyone interested in playing girls basketball.

 

Girls basketball practice begins Monday, November 11.  The 9th and 10th grade will practice from 3:30-5:00 p.m., and 11th and 12th grade from 5-6:30 p.m.  You must have a current physical on file with the athletic department. 

 

Cheer tryouts for the winter season will be held November 12, 13, and 14 in the band room from

4-5:30 p.m.  You must have a current physical on file with the athletic department.

 

There will be a spec bus to Lincoln-Alcona this Saturday.  Bus will leave at 9:45 a.m.  There are 40 seats available.  Cost is $3.00 and you must pay when you sign up.  Cost of admission is $5.00 at the gate. Sign up in the office by noon this Friday. Middle school and elementary students must be accompanied by an adult.
