Congratualtions to Kaitlyn Jones – our Student of the Week.

 

Freshmen - we still need dues paid!  Please get them to Mrs. Atkins, Mrs. Peterson, or your treasurer Hannah Laskowski ASAP.

 

Freshmen class officers need to meet in Mrs. Peterson’s room at lunch today.

 

The Go To Team will be placing an order for “be nice” products.  You can get a T-shirt for $8, bracelets for $1, locker magnets for $1 or a lanyard for $5.  Orders will be taken at lunch on Wednesday and Thursday.  If you want to purchase a be nice item to spread the word, bring your money and place an order at lunch!

Students – there are new parking guidelines.  Until further notice you are to park your vehicles on the east side of the parking lot, east of the double entrance by Mrs. Thom’s room.  The traffic flow at the end of the day is the primary purpose for this.  Failure to comply with this will result in suspension of driving privileges.  

 

Go To Team – this is a very important message.  We are planning our run through assembly on tomorrow at 9:45 a.m.  Please be there completely prepared to share what your group is presenting.

Seniors - remember to pay your class dues!  $20 for senior year.  All class dues must be paid in full if you are planning on going on the class trip.  Money can be turned in to Mrs. Clous or Mr. Bongard.

Today is the annual Dig Pink volleyball game. The student council would like to support the cause, and our volleyball teams, by offering Spirit Points to anyone wearing pink today. Check in noon to 12:10 with the usual advisors for points.

YAC – finger and toes boxes should be out today.  If you do not have the paper that goes on the front of yours, please find Olivia Emond at lunch and she will give you one.

Pop Can Drive The Problem Solving Class will be putting on a Pop Can Drive starting now and running until November 4th. All proceeds for this drive will go to the Wexford and Missaukee Humane Societies. You may drop your pop cans off to your advisory teacher in the morning to be picked up and counted. The Advisory class with the most pop cans will receive popcorn.

Haunted Mansion Miller's Corners is hosting their 3rd Annual Haunted Mansion Fundraiser for Camp Rotary. If you missed this weekend you can still catch the October 23rd showing from 8pm until 11pm. There will be a hayride, plus food and refreshments will be available. All proceeds go to Lake City Area Schools.

6th Annual Boy Scout Haunted House The Boy Scouts will be hosting their 6th Annual Haunted House. This event will be held October 23rd , 24th and 30th from 6:30-9:30 at the Missaukee Conservation Club. The cost will be $5 per person with discounts available to those who come dressed in costume, in their boy scout uniform or with their boy scout card. Sports The Cross Country team ran in their Highland Conference meet last night and AJ Comp earned a 1st place standing in the conference! Nice job AJ and the rest of the runners! CURRENT SENIORS - applications for two scholarships through the Masons are available in

Mrs. Richardson’s office.  They are typically $500 each. Pick one up asap!  They are due to

Mrs. Richardson by the end of the day on Wednesday, November 11.

 

A representative from Saginaw Valley State University will be here today at 1:00 p.m. in the library. 

A representative from Northwestern Michigan College will be here tomorrow at 2:15 p.m.  Sign-up sheets for both colleges are in the office.

 

ATHLETICS

 

Bear claw trash bag orders and money may be turned in to the office.

 

There is a short meeting today during lunchtime for any 9^th through 12^th grade boys interested in playing basketball.  Please meet in the auditorium.
