STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Don’t forget about the bonfire tonight at 7:00 p.m. Meet at the practice field on the north side of

the school.  If it is raining meet in the cafeteria.

 

Seniors – Yankee Candle fundraiser forms and money are due by Friday.  Please get them in ASAP!  Remember to also pay your class dues.  We are starting to narrow down trips and need to know how many people plan to go.  Don’t forget you must turn in song, flower and motto ideas by Friday too.

 

SOPHMORES – Jostens will be here on Tuesday, October 4 to take your class ring orders. 

Orders will be taken in the library during lunch.  You must place a $50.00 deposit with your order.

If you did not receive an order packet, or if you have questions – see Ms. Gilson.

 

Thursday’s theme is Greek God and Goddess day. Spirit points are like gold. Golden Fleece, that is. So, adorn yourself in your school-appropriate Greek attire for Thursday, and help send your class on the spirit trip!

 

NHSers/NHS hopefuls - we need students to take tickets at the middle school game tomorrow. See Ms. Bernier ASAP if you can help out.

 

If you are interested in participating in one of the pep assembly games Friday afternoon, please

sign-up in the lobby during lunch this week.

 

Remember to claim your spirit point at lunch.  Points will be given until 12:10 p.m. each day this week.  Freshmen will be going to Mrs. Peterson’s room, sophomores to Ms. Morse’s room, juniors to Mr. Bongard’s room, and seniors to Mr. Prielipp’s room.  Afternoon CTC should stop and see

Mr. Thom in room 11 right before going to lunch to get their spirit point.  Earn spirit points for yourself and your class toward winning the annual spirit trip this coming spring! 

 

We invite you to join us in “A Night Amongst the Gods” Saturday night.  Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the door.  The dance will take place from 8-11:15 p.m. If you plan to bring a guest to the homecoming dance, you must register that person in the high school office.  Your guest must be under the age of 20.  We must have a phone number to reach your guest if necessary.

 

Math tutoring tomorrow will be with Mr. Thom.

 

Homecoming picture information packets are located in the rack outside the high school office.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

Cadillac High School will be hosting their annual college night on Wednesday, October 12, from

6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in their auxiliary gym.  Many college representatives will be there with information.  Juniors and seniors should try to attend!

 

Go To team applications are due no later than 3:30 on Friday!

 

A representative from Central Michigan will be here today during 6th hour.  If you would like to talk to them, please sign up in the office ASAP. The Ferris representative will be here tomorrow.

 

The PSAT/NMSQT will be given at LCHS the morning of Wednesday, October 12.  Sophomores or juniors, who are interested in taking this test, please sign up in the office.  The cost is $14, payable to LCHS and given to Ms. Gilson in the back office.  See Mrs. Richardson if you have any questions.  You need to sign up by Friday, October 7.

Students that are dressed up need to go to the library during lunch for pictures.  

 

NHSers - we will have a meeting tomorrow morning at 7:40 in Ms. Bernier's room.  Please be on time and bring your planners.

SOPHOMORES: There will be a short meeting for all sophomores at 8:17 a.m. Tuesday (tomorrow) morning.  Students are to report to class for attendance and then walk directly to the auditorium. 

Jostens will be here to distribute class ring information.  This meeting will last one-half hour, and then you will return to class.

The dress-up theme for Tuesday is “Monster Mash”, so come to school dressed to creep and snag your spirit point.

There will be a meeting for all homecoming representatives today in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room at the beginning of 6th hour.  Representatives must report to class for attendance before being dismissed to their meeting.

Homecoming 2011 is one week away. We invite you to join us in “A Night Amongst the Gods” next Saturday night. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the door. That also means that Spirit Week starts Monday. Earn Spirit Points for yourself and your class toward winning the annual Spirit Trip this coming Spring. Monday’s dress-up day theme is “Disco”, so… Dude, find some groovy threads this weekend and have a happenin’ time in school on Monday. Peace!

HOMECOMING DANCE – if you plan to bring a guest to the homecoming dance, you must register that person in the high school office.  Your guest must be under the age of 20.  We must have a phone number to reach your guest if necessary.

All freshmen class officers need to be there along with anyone else that would like to help plan the float building.   The float building will begin this weekend at Kory Root’s house on Saturday from 1-7 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m.

 

Seniors will meet on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. to finish their float.

 

Anyone interested in taking volleyball entrance tickets next Tuesday see Mrs. Peterson a.s.a.p. 

 

Baker College will be offering drivers training classes with their new Camaro starting September 29. 

Applications are available outside the office.  If you have any questions please call Baker College or you may contact Mr. Yeomans during lunch.

 

Juniors – float building will be Saturday at the school maintenance building (down the street from the high school) from 11 to 5 p.m.

Due to an error in the freshman class officer election last week, we’d like to congratulate this year’s officers: President Joe Liestenfeltz, Vice President Cylee Burns, Secretary Nikolay Booms, and Treasurer Bradley Atkins.

 

There will be a float meeting in Mr. Sarau’s room tomorrow during lunch. All freshmen class officers need to be there along with anyone else that would like to help plan the float building.   The float building will begin this weekend at Cory Colecchio’ s house on Saturday from 1-7 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. We need people and supplies.

 

Seniors will meet on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. to finish the float.
