Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Taylor Widner.

 

The student council canned food drive needs your donations!  Please bring in canned food items through tomorrow to your class advisor to earn spirit points and help families in need.

 

Hats on to NO BULLYING!  Choose to wear a hat to support No Bullying and Tolerance in our school.  Pay a $1 donation to wear your hat all day on Wednesday, November 27.  When you pay your $1, you will receive a sticker to wear showing you promote this cause, which includes stopping cyber-bullying.  The No Bullying sticker must be visible to be able to wear your hat.  So dig out your favorite head covering, dig a handful of change from your car, and support our Go To Team’s anti-bullying efforts.

 

Students who have signed up to donate blood today - you need to bring a photo ID with you, such as   your school ID or driver’s license when you donate.  Make sure you eat and drink plenty of fluids before you donate.  Also remember it is your responsibility to check in with your teachers regarding what you are missing in class.

 

Juniors selling snacks – your $62.00 for snack sales will be due the Monday, December 2.  This is the Monday after Thanksgiving.

 

Social Studies tutoring is scheduled today in Mr. Nederhood’s room.

A postsecondary planning evening will be held for seniors and parents on Wednesday, December 4 at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium.  There will be a financial aid advisor there to go over the FAFSA and other financial aid information.  Local scholarship applications will be available that night along with a lot of other valuable information.  Seniors need to plan to attend!  See Mrs. Richardson if you have any questions.

Juniors selling snack boxes for the senior trip – it is important that you meet with Mrs. Colecchio today at 12:15 in Mr. Prelipp’s room. It should only take five minutes.  The names of the students who need to come are posted in the hallway.

 

Freshmen – Yankee Candle orders are due today. Please turn in your order form and payment to Mrs. Phillips, Ms. Bernier or Mrs. Thom.  If you forgot to bring it in today, please be sure to bring it in tomorrow, as orders will be placed at the end of the day on Thursday.

Katherine Phillips, local author and graduate of Lake City High School, will be at the Missaukee library this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. for a book signing.  All three of her novels will be available.

Friday – varsity football vs Whittemore-Prescott, home, game starts at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $5 each (no passes) and are available today and Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. from Ms. Gilson, or at the gate on Friday. 

 

Saturday – varsity volleyball Highland tournament @ McBain, first match starts at 8 a.m.

Saturday – JV volleyball Highland tournament @ Pine River, first match starts at 8 a.m.

 

The athletic boosters are requesting that all Lake City fans wear black to the game tomorrow night.  Let’s support our team and support our boosters!

 

There will be a sign up meeting for boys interested in participating in wrestling today at 12:10 in the auditorium.  Coach will be there – be on time!
