When the bell rings after lunch today – all students who are staying for the afternoon need to report to the gym and sit at the south end.  We will dismiss those who are doing other activities after Tom Harrison speaks.

The Lake City Area Schools’ Health and Wellness Committee is looking for students interested in helping improve the health of the students, teachers, and community members of Lake City.  This committee will discuss lunch room food items, vending machine items, and special events that involve physical activity in our school and community.  If you would like to be a part of this committee please see Mrs. Peterson or Mr. Vasicek for an application.

Student council will be selling Christmas Candy Grams today.  They are 50 cents each or three for $1.00.  Make someone happy and send them a special message for the holidays.

 

JUNIORS – there will be a prom meeting in Mrs. Phillips’ room during lunch today at 12:10.  Grab some food and come on down.  Even if you haven’t been able to attend thus far, if you’re interested in helping out, you are invited to join us!

 

YACsters –meeting today at lunch -  12:20 in Ms. Morse’s room.

 

We will be cleaning out lockers on Monday, December 21.  The schedule is: 9th grade - 8:20-8:30,

10th grade – 8:30-8:40, 11th grade – 8:40-8:50, and 12th grade – 8:50-9:00.

 

Chill Out Week will be the first week in February consisting of spirit days, a pep assembly, Mock Rock, and a dance.  Start getting an act together for Mock Rock and begin practicing.  Entry forms will be available right after Christmas break!

 

Student athletes interested in joining varsity club must submit a completed application to Ms Gilson by 3:30 TODAY.

STUDENT COUNCIL – the candy gram committee will meet TODAY at lunch in room 11.

 

JUNIORS – we need one more person to take tickets at the triple header tonight.  Please see Mrs. Phillips or Ms. Bernier if you can do it.

 

We will be cleaning out lockers on Monday, December 21.  The schedule is: 9th grade - 8:20-8:30,

10th grade – 8:30-8:40, 11th grade – 8:40-8:50, and 12th grade – 8:50-9:00 a.m.

Student athletes interested in joining varsity club must submit a completed application to Ms Gilson by 3:30 p.m. December 18.

 

The Missaukee County Road Commission is reminding us that snow plows are on the roads many mornings at the same time busses are picking up students.  Make sure you wait a safe distance from the plowed portion of the roadway until the bus comes to a complete stop.

There are only 15 yearbooks left to purchase.  If you would like to get one before they are gone, see Mrs. Atkins.

 

NHSers – there are some opportunities to get service hours this weekend with the drama play.  There are still spots open to take tickets on Saturday, and we need a few more concession workers for Friday and Saturday.  If you aren’t able to help out with those things, you can still sign up to bring in concessions.  See Ms. Bernier to sign up ASAP.

 

JUNIORS – there will be a prom committee meeting after school on Thursday in Mrs. Phillips’ room.  Even if you haven’t been able to attend the previous meetings, you’re still welcome to join us.

 

There will be a student council officers meeting on Wednesday (tomorrow) during lunch and a full student council meeting on Thursday during lunch.  Both meetings will be held in room 11.

 

Go To Team, Student Council or NHS members who would like to go to the LEAD Conference on Wednesday,

December 16 in Cadillac, must pick up a permission slip from Mrs. Richardson and have it turned in by Thursday, December 10.  The cost is $15.00  Make checks payable to LCHS.

 

GO TO TEAM - we will meet today during 3rd hour in the auditorium.

 

SENIORS – your dues are to be paid in full by December 18 if you want to participate in the senior trip process (location discussion, voting, attending).

 

Mid-Michigan Community College will visit LCHS on December 9.  Sign up in the office if you would like to meet with the representative.
