GO TO team – if you are working the elementary carnival tonight, be in the gym by 5:30 p.m. You will be done by 8:30 p.m.
MORNING CTC students attending the Governor’s Breakfast on March 24 will be dropped off at CTC after the breakfast. You will not be able to drive.
There will be a Go To Team meeting today during lunch in room 11.
SENIORS – the deadline for turning in your senior picture, baby picture, and quote is March 24. If you would like to see any of these things in the yearbook, get them to Mrs. Atkins, Ca elan, or Brandee.
SENIORS – going on the senior trip. If you were unable to attend last Friday’s class meeting please locate Mrs. Getty to get the forms that you will need. All order forms and permission slips are due March 18.
JUNIORS – the after-prom committee is sponsoring a pop can drive for after-prom on March 14. Be at the school at 1:00 p.m.
The after-prom committee is sponsoring a Mr. Lake City Pageant on April 9 (this is a date change). Any junior or senior gentleman who wants to compete must sign up with Mrs. Gallop during lunch on March 11, 12 or 15. You will compete in four categories: talent, best dressed, swim trunk, and interview.

The 2010 yearbook is now on sale – cost is $35. You may pay $20 now and $15 at the end of the school year. All checks are to be payable to Lake City Yearbook. See Mrs. Atkins to order. Also, you may go to www.jostensyearbooks.com to order your book. Different pages will be posted outside Mrs. Atkins’ window in the coming weeks – check it out if you would like to see what pages you and your friends are on.
Baker College has openings for the Segment 1 driver education class. Registration forms are in the wall pocket by the office – or see Mr. Yeomans at lunch.
COUNSELOR’S CORNER
The Baker College 12th Annual Career Fair is this Friday, March 12 from 1-4:00 p.m. at the Cadillac Armory. Over 60 area businesses with job opportunities will be there. Open to the general public and free admission!
JUNIORS – applications for the Alexander Hamilton Citizenship Achievement Award are available at www.hamiltonfriends.org. This is a $500 cash award that also awards paid leadership training, and college prep assistance. It is for juniors who are college bound, have a strong record of community services, show strong commitment to academic studies, are a self-starter, show passion and commitment to their interests, and show financial and/or personal need. Applications are due by April 16. Information is posted on the school website.
ATHLETICS
Spring practices begin Monday, March 15. Baseball – 3:30 at the middle school, softball – 3:30 at the high school, golf – 3:30 in Mrs. Bongard’s room, and track – 5:00 at high school.
