NHSsers – if you signed up to help at the Kiwanis auction – it is at the American Legion tomorrow from

2-6:00 p.m.  Feel Free to bring friends with your to help!

 

STUDENT BODY – class elections will be held Wednesday, May 26.  If you are running for office be prepared to give a speech to your classmates next Wednesday.

 

VARSITY CLUB – get your Merritt Speedway money and tickets to Mr. McGiness soooooon!

 

SENIORS ATTENDING THE SENIOR TRIP – you have a class meeting in the auditorium at 3:05 today.  You must attend.

 

SENIORS – Emmanual Lutheran Church invites you and your families to attend their first annual baccalaureate service on Thursday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m.  The church is located at 11198 E. M-55 in Cadillac.

 

If you have a cafeteria lunch charge - you must pay by Friday, May 28.  See Mr. Homan today if you have questions or need to make payment arrangements.

JUNIORS – as we begin planning for your senior year, consider paying your junior class dues of $15.  All class dues must be paid before you can go on your senior trip.  Your senior year is an expensive one; consider making it easier by paying in installment.  See Mrs. Phillips or Ms. Bernier.

Varsity baseball/softball vs Evart – 4:30 p.m. – away – bus leaves at 3:00 p.m. – dismissal at 2:45 p.m.

JV baseball/softball vs Evart – 4:30 p.m. - home

 

Girls interested in cheerleading for the 2010-11 school year (both seasons) must sign up in the office by Friday May 21.  Sign up before school, after school, or during lunch.  Tryouts will be May 25, 26, and 27 from 3:45-5:00 p.m. in Ms. Ellis’ room at the middle school.  You MUST wear dark shorts, a white t-shirt, and tennis shoes.

Congratulations to the new student council officers!  President – Troy Hutchinson, Vice President - Melanie Mazey, Secretary – Andrea Huxtable, and Treasurer – Mitch Thompson.

 

SPIRIT TRIP ATTENDEES:  there will be a very short meeting at 11:55 a.m. TODAY in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.

vice president or president, you need to do the following:  1) fill out a student government petition - they are available from Mrs. VanderBrook or in the wall pockets outside the high school office, 2) submit a letter of intent and prepare a speech, 3) pay your class dues for the 2010-11 school year.  If you would like to run for student council, you need to do all of the above and fill out a student council application – also located outside the office in the wall pockets – or from Mrs. VanderBrook.  All forms are due by 3:30 p.m. TODAY to Mrs. VanderBrook.  No late forms will be accepted.

 

A representative from Kirtland Community College will be here May 19.  Sign up in the office if you would like to speak
