STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Students planning on trying out for fall cheer must pick up a cheer packet from the wall pocket outside the office.  Return the information form as soon as possible – you may drop it off at the office, or give directly to Mrs. Vokes. 

 

If you have, or think you have, outstanding fines – now is the time to take care of that.  See

Mrs. Baron in the library, Mr. Homan in the cafeteria, and/or Mr. Castillo.

 

Congratulations to Rebecca Hittle – our Student of the Week.

 

The yearbooks have arrived!  If you still need to pick yours up see Mrs. Atkins.  Any remaining balance owed must be paid before you can receive the book.  The company sent 25 extra books.  If you would like to purchase one, the cost is $40.  Any remaining books at the end of the year will be sent back to the company.  Get it now!  See Mrs. Atkins if you have any questions.

 

Baker College of Cadillac will be offering driver’s training starting June 9.  Take driver’s training in a convertible this summer!

 

Student folders will be deleted over the summer.  If there is any files you will need it is your responsibility to get your files and save them.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

This is the last week to sign up for the summer credit recovery program.  You can make up a credit in Math, English, Science, or Social Studies (maximum of 3 courses = 1.5 credits).  The program will run for 3 weeks, 3 days per week, 3 hours per day per class, beginning June 12.  See Mrs. Richardson as soon as possible for a registration form – they are due by 3:30 p.m. on Monday June 4.

 

ATHLETICS

 

Saturday – Boys Varsity Baseball Districts @ Pine River, bus departs 8 a.m., game starts at 10 a.m.

Saturday – Girls Varsity Softball Districts @ Pine River, bus departs at 8 a.m., game starts at noon.

 

JV Volleyball Camp will take place June 19, 20, and 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., cost is $10.  Please see Bridgid Ardis with any questions. 

 

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS – there will be a short sign-up meeting for boys basketball today at noon in the auditorium.  Don’t be tardy – you’ll have plenty of time to eat.

Class meetings have been scheduled for today during 5th and 6th hours.  Students running for office will give their campaign speeches at this time.  Juniors are to go directly to the auditorium after attendance is taken 5th hour.  When the juniors are done, the sophomores will be dismissed by intercom.  Freshmen are to go directly to the auditorium after attendance is taken 6th hour.  All students will vote 2nd hour on Friday, June 1.  A student council member will come to class to dismiss students to Mr. Thom’s class.
