STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

There is a community pig roast presented by Lake City Area Schools and Ebel’s General Store on Tuesday, June 14 from 4-7 p.m. in the Lake City High School back parking lot.   A free will offering will be accepted toward the meal.  Donations will be accepted and will go towards the new Community Center.

 

Variety show dress rehearsal is today at 5:30.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER                                                                                                               

 

If you are looking for some part time summer work, people are looking for students to babysit, do yard work, and mow lawns.  See Mrs. Richardson ASAP if you are looking to make some extra money and have a way to get there.

 

Sophomores and Juniors – you are invited on a college campus visit and tour to Ferris State University.  We will be taking a bus down on Wednesday, June 8.  You will be gone most of the day and it will be school excused.  There will be a presentation from admissions, a walking tour of campus, and a complimentary lunch in one of their dining halls.  You must be signed up by this Friday, and permission slips returned by Monday.  A link to register for the tour with Ferris will be emailed to you and that needs to be completed before you go.  Please see Mrs. Richardson ASAP. 

 

If you are a female going into 9th – 11th grade, and interested in Engineering, Wolverine Cooperative was awarded a full scholarship to give away to a student who wants to attend Michigan Technological University’s summer “Women in Engineering” camp that takes place the 3rd week in June.  To apply for the camp and to be able to attend all expenses paid, see Mrs. Richardson ASAP.

 

Summer Credit Recovery forms are available in the office.  If you need to make up a class, pick up a form and get it turned in to the office by Friday, June 10.  The session will run on school days from June 16-28 from 8:30–2:30 each day.  See the form for more information.

 

ATHLETICS

 

Saturday – Varsity Track state finals at Comstock Park starting at 10:00 a.m.

                   Baseball at Benzie, leave at 7:45 a.m., game starts at 10:00 a.m.

                   Softball at Benzie, leave at 7:45 a.m., game starts at 12:30 a.m.

 

Cross Country sign-up is today at 12:20 in the auditorium.

 

Varsity boys track - turn in your uniform washed, in a shopping bag with your name on it, to

Mr. Nederhood in his room ASAP!

 

The track banquet is Monday, June 6 in the cafeteria.

 

All members of the golf team – the golf banquet will be held next Friday, June 10 at 5:00 p.m. at the golf course.  Please see Mr. Vasicek for details.  Also, all golf uniforms and equipment are due before the banquet.

The High School Library is closed, books must be returned by this Friday.

 

Honor Roll Day permission slips are due to Mrs. Peterson today.

 

Exam exemption forms need to be turned in to the office by 3:30 p.m. tomorrow.
