GENERAL

Attention Seniors –

1.  The graduation walking partners sheet has been posted on the counter in the office.  Deadline is today, Friday, 5/9.  If you do not sign up with a partner, one will be chosen for you.

2.  Please be sure you have taken care of all your school debts which include athletic, shop, cafeteria, and library fines before you pick up your cap and gown during lunch time on May 14.

3.  Senior exam exemption forms are available in the wall pockets outside the office.  They must be turned in by 3:30 on Friday, 5/16.

 

The yearbook is in need of pictures of prom.  If you have any pictures that you would like to see in the book, please give them to Larry Stone or Mrs. Atkins.  We will take them off disks or a hard copy, and return them to you as soon as possible.  Thanks.

 

Attentions Juniors:  The spirit trip is rapidly approaching.  Juniors that have more than 8 spirit points are eligible to go on the spirit trip.  There is a list posted outside of Mrs. VanderBrook's room.  If your name is on the list please see Mrs. VanderBrook for a permission slip.  Permission slips are due today, Friday, May 9th to Mrs. VanderBrook or Mrs. Richardson.  No late permission slip will be taken.  If you think your name should be on the list see Mrs. VanderBrook.

 

Anyone interested in an amazing trip to Switzerland, Italy, and France in June 2009?  Stop in and see Ms. Bernier and pick up trip information and pricing.

Juniors:  If you want to re-take the ACT in June, the deadline to register is today, May 9th.  You can register online at www.actstudent.org.  See Mrs. Richardson if you have any questions.  The next opportunity to retake is in September.

 

 

SPORTS

There will be a Cross Country meeting in the library on Thursday, 5/15 at 8:00am.

 

Attention all boys in grades 9 through 11 interested in playing football – You have a meeting Thursday, 5/15 at 11:45 in the gym.

 

High School Sports Physicals

Sports physicals will be offered to students planning to participate in athletics during the 2008-09 school year on Wednesday, May 21.   Physicals will be performed by Primary Care of Houghton Lake.  Students MUST have a completed physical card and $10 to receive a physical.  No money and/or an incomplete physical card means NO PHYSICAL.  (CHECKS ARE TO BE MADE OUT TO: PRIMARY CARE.)  Physical cards will be in the athletic wall pocket beginning Monday, May 12.  REMEMBER - when filling out your card - use next year’s information.

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Track team for a well earned runner up place at the Pine River Invitational on Saturday.  It was a great team effort.  Katie Root took 1st in the 100 hurdles and the 300 hurdles, Adri Dodde placed 2nd in the 400 and 4th in the 200, Rachel Rosekrans took 2nd in the 3200, 4th in the 1600, and 6th in the 800.  The 800 Relay of Becky Ahrens, Lacey Hill, Katie Root, Adri Dodde placed 1st, and The 400 Relay of Brandee Gibson, Kristen Robidoux, Becky Ahrens and Lacie Hill placed 6th.  Awesome job ladies.
