Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Maggie Thom.

 

Mr. Lake City Contestants - rehearsal is from 6:30-9:00 p.m. today. Please bring your swim trunk attire to the rehearsal for approval.  The contest will be taped. You may purchase a video for $5.00. 

 

All Star driver education has classes scheduled in April.  For more information please pick up a flyer from the wall pocket located outside the high school office.

 

SENIORS - if you haven’t voted for Senior Oscar Night awards, please go to Mr. Thom’s lab at lunch after 12:10, or when you get a chance.

 

Seniors - there will be a meeting for all seniors in the auditorium today at 3:00 p.m.

 

Do you have talent?  The student council is looking for people to perform for Senior Oscar Night on Wednesday, April 23.  If you would like to perform, sing, dance, or play an instrument see Mr. Thom or Mrs. VanderBrook before next Friday, March 28.  There are only six spots so sign up by the end of next week.  Audition will be scheduled if needed.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

A representative from Saginaw Valley State University will be here at 2:00 p.m. in the library today.  You may sign up in the office between classes or during lunch.

 

All schedule requests for next year must be in before you leave for break.  The master schedule for next year is determined from these requests!

 

Juniors – many of you still have not turned in your schedule request forms.  Turn them in to

Mrs. Richardson or log in to your PowerSchool account and follow the instructions to enter your requests through “Class Registration.”

 

Students planning to attend CTC next year for the first or second year – you need to fill out a CTC registration form and get it in to Mrs. Richardson before you leave for break.  If you do not have this in, you may not get a spot at CTC.  Blank forms are outside Mrs. Richardson’s office.

 

Any student interested in taking dual enrollment college courses, independent study online courses, or being in Teacher Academy next year needs to pick up a request and information form from

Mrs. Richardson and return it before break.  There will be a meeting after break to go over requirements before the selection.  If you do not notify Mrs. Richardson, you will not be eligible!

 

ATHLETICS

 

The Boys Basketball awards banquet is scheduled for Monday, March 24 at 6:00 in the cafeteria.  Varsity team brings a main dish.  JV team brings sides and salads.  See Ms. Gilson if you have questions.

SENIORS – the senior group photo is today.  Meet in the gym at 3:00 p.m.  Please make every effort to be there and on time!

 

Friday is NCAA bracket day, so wear your favorite college t-shirt, sweatshirt, sweatpants or hat. Even if your team didn’t get invited to the big dance, show your support for your favorite college team.    

                  

Math tutoring is scheduled for today in Mr. Bongard’s room.

SENIORS - your ballot for Senior Oscar Night 2014 is available from your senior English teacher. Remember to bring your cheat sheet when you vote in Mr. Thom’s lab during lunch today and tomorrow. Afternoon CTC students please vote when you get a chance.

SENIORS – there has been a change in the date for the senior group photo.  We will now take that photo on Thursday, March 20.  Meet in the gym at 3:00 p.m.  Please make every effort to be there and on time!

 

SENIORS - a group of students are designing a t-shirt.  A tentative design is displayed on

Mr. Bongard’s wall.  (Your name would appear instead of his).  We hope to have pricing before spring break and then order in April just after returning from break.
