Freshman – class officers will meet in Mr. Bongard’s room today at lunch.  Bring your lunch with you.

 

Attention Student Council - there will be Christmas shopping after school today.  If you are not able to attend, see Mrs. VanderBrook or Mr. Thom.

 

The weight room will be open after school every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  Athletes are encouraged to attend.

 

Seniors – turn in your senior picture, baby picture, and quote to Danie Baldwin, Jimmy Hollars, or Mrs. Atkins by December 20th.  If these items are not received your Lifetouch picture will be used.

 

Parents and Students – “The Missaukee County Road Commission requests your cooperation through the winter months while snowplowing is taking place.  We ask that you be aware of the fact that the plows are on the roads many mornings at the same times that the buses are picking up students.  We urge you to make sure that your children wait a safe distance from the plowed portion of the roadway until the bus actually arrives at their stop.  It is important that we work together to make certain of their safety.”  If you have and questions regarding the above or any other snow removal problems, feel free to call:  Kelly Bekken, Manager of Missaukee County Road Commission at 839-4361.

 

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

Seniors - Financial Aid Night is Wednesday, December 8, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.  There will be very important information provided for seniors and their parents/guardians regarding financial aid and scholarships.

 

All requests for transcripts to be sent to colleges must now be done through Docufide!  The web address is www.docufide.com. There is a link under For Students on our website.  You need to set up an account and make the request.  There are flyers in the pockets outside of Mrs. Richardson’s office with instructions if needed.

 

 

ATHLETICS

 

Girls JV/Varsity basketball @ Forest Area, 6:00 p.m., bus leaves at 4:45 p.m.

 

Caberfae Peaks red cards are here!  Red card holders receive a discount on lift tickets and ski or board rentals on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.  Cost is $1.00 – good for the entire winter season. See Ms. Gilson to purchase yours.

There will be a senior class meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) during second hour in the auditorium.  All seniors are to go to class for attendance and then go directly to the auditorium.

NHSers – there will be a meeting this week on Wednesday at 7:51 a.m. in Ms. Bernier’s room.  Be on time and bring your planners.

 

Orders for the 2010-2011 yearbook will be taken through tomorrow at the table set up in the lobby during lunch.  Cost is $35.00 – checks are to be made out to Lake City High School.  Great News!  Yearbooks will now be delivered in the spring – before graduation.  All spring pages will be delivered as an insert the following fall.  This insert will slide easy into your book.  Questions?  See Mrs. Atkins.
