Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Carissa Clous.

 

SENIORS – don’t forget that TWO mandatory graduation practices have been scheduled for Thursday and Friday, May 21 and 22 at 9:00 a.m. in the auditorium.  DO NOT BE LATE!

 

The high school is joining with the elementary to raise funds for the American Cancer Society by participating in the Mini Relay for Life.  This event will be held Monday, June 1 during 7th hour.   The Go To Team is sponsoring a 7th hour class competition to see which class can raise the most money based on percentages, not just money totals. Bring in any extra change to fill a jug!  The winning class will join the elementary in walking in the Mini Relay for Life and be treated to ICE CREAM!

Dual enrolled students – you need to print a copy of your final grades and turn it in to

Mrs. Richardson.

 

ATHLETICS

 

Varsity baseball/softball at Beal City, dismissal time 2:15 p.m., bus departs at 2:30 p.m., games start at 4:30 p.m.

 

JV baseball/softball vs Beal City, home, games start at 4:30 p.m.

 

Saturday – Varsity track regionals

 

Saturday – Varsity baseball/softball at Mesick, invite starts at 9:00 a.m.

 

Boys interested or planning on attending Trojan Basketball Night Camp this June, must pick up a registration form from the athletic wall pocket.  All registration forms must be returned by Monday, May 18.  If you have questions, see Coach Besko.

Seniors who have independent study exams to take - you must take them ASAP or it could put you in jeopardy of walking at graduation.  Mrs. Richardson has all of the tests that have arrived.  See her to make arrangements to take yours. You may want to do it ahead of time.

Any sophomore interested in the Early College Program for CNET, Public Safety, Welding, Business Management, or Hospitality next year - paperwork is due tomorrow to Mrs. Richardson!

Seniors going on the senior trip (and only those seniors) have a meeting in the auditorium today at 3:05 p.m.

 

SENIORS – we will distribute cap and gown packages today during noon and after school. 

You must pay for your cap and gown before we can give it to you.  Don’t forget that TWO

mandatory graduation practices have been scheduled for Thursday and Friday, May 21 and 22 at

Students are no longer allowed to charge lunch.  You must have cash in hand or money in your account.  If you do not, you will be given an alternate lunch.

Go To Team members who have signed up to be a part of the elementary mini Relay for Life assembly – remember it is Tuesday, May 12 from 2:40-3:05 p.m.  Please be on time and go back to your class immediately after it ends!

McDonalds is looking to hire several summer workers.  If you are interested, there will be open interviews at McDonalds tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. Applications are available in the high school office that you can fill out and turn in now to McDonalds or be completed for May 12.  If you go to the interview, you need to be prepared and dressed appropriately. 

 

ATHLETICS

 

Boys varsity golf at Houghton Lake, 4:00 p.m., dismiss at 2:45 p.m., bus departs at 3:00 p.m.

 

There will be no golf practice today or tomorrow for those not playing in the matches.  Golf practice will resume on Wednesday.

Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Monday, May 11, 2015

Pennies for Patients  Today is the last day for collecting donations. Thank you for working hard to collection money for this worthy cause. We will announce the winning class tomorrow.


The cafeteria would like to remind students that any charges need to be paid as soon as possible. You will not be able to charge meals after today, May 11.


Freshman Orientation for 8th grade students 8th grade students are invited to Freshman Orientation at the high school auditorium on Tuesday, May 12 at 6 pm.


MS Track Results from Friday The Lady Trojans track team lost to Manton 66.5 to 91.5. The boy’s middle school track team lost a back and forth battle with Manton on Friday, losing by a score of 81 to 79.


Pop Warner Football & Cheer Registration There will be two days for registration of football and cheer at the high school main lobby. Monday-May 11, & Wednesday-May 13. Both days from 6-8pm. Pop Warner is for students ages 5-12.
