STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

The meeting today for ALL MENTORS will be during lunch instead of in the morning.  Get your lunch and go to Room 11.  We need everyone there!  See Mrs. Richardson or Miss Holly if you have questions.

 

SENIORS – pizza/cookie dough orders will be arriving today at approximately 12:30 p.m.  They will be okay until after school, but not after practice.  You may not take large orders on the bus.  Please make arrangements to have them picked up.  Thanks for all your hard work.

 

After-school tutoring will be held on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in room 13.  NHS students will be there to help.  If you attend tutoring, you must have school work and work the entire time you are there. This is a great opportunity to work on your school work and get help if needed.

 

The varsity club is accepting applications for membership.  Pick up an application from the athletic wall pocket and return to Mr. McGiness by 3:30 p.m. TODAY.

 

Any freshman that did not get their middle school yearbook and would still like a copy may purchase one in the high school office for $13.00.

 

JUNIORS/SENIORS – sign up in the office if you would like to talk to the following college reps:  Kirtland College on October 13, Hope College on October 13, Saginaw Valley on October 14, Grand Valley on October 14, and Ferris on October 15.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS:  Cadillac’s Annual College Night is Wednesday, October 13, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. at the Cadillac Senior High Auxiliary Gym.  Many college reps will be available to provide information and answer questions.  This is a great opportunity.  Also, several of these reps will be at our school for visits in the next week so be sure to check the office and sign up.

 

SOPHMORE and JUNIORS - the PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 13, in the auditorium at

8:15 a.m.  The cost is $13.  Sign up in Mrs. Richardson’s office by Friday, October 8.  You can pay the $13 to Ms. Gilson.  Make checks out to LCHS. 

 

JUNIORS AND SENIORS – please check the bulletin board in the library hallway for college, testing, and scholarship information.  Several college reps will be coming to visit soon.  Be sure to listen to and read the announcements daily to know when the college reps are coming, then sign up in the office to schedule a meeting with them.  If you don’t sign up, you will miss it!

SENIORS – there will be a short meeting with the Josten’s representative on Friday, October 8 to discuss graduation announcements.  Seniors are to report to their 1st hour class for attendance and then report directly to the auditorium.

SOPHOMORES - the Jostens representative will be here Wednesday, October 6 during lunch to take your class ring orders.  He will set up in the lobby.  If you do not have an order packet, stop by the office and pick one up before October 6.

The transportation supervisor would like to remind students to go directly to the buses after dismissal to assure buses leave on time.

Mrs. Vanderbrook and Mr. Thom would like to thank everyone for making Spirit Week and Homecoming such a success. Congratulations to King Troy Hutchinson and Queen Rachel Rosekrans.

 

This year’s homecoming floats were some the best in many years. Seniors took first, Juniors second, Freshman third, and Sophomores last. In the race to the Spirit Trip this coming Spring, Seniors are currently in the lead with 140 Spirit points, Juniors have 121, Freshman have 97, and the Sophomores have 88. Individual and Class totals can be found outside Mr. Thom’s room.

 

There will be a short Student Council meeting Wednesday at lunch in Mrs. Vanderbrook’s room.

 

The high school band will perform tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Cadillac Marching Review.  Come and support the band!  Band membersyour bus leaves at 5:00 p.m. tonight.
