STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Students are not allowed in the band room or in the elementary hallways during lunch period.

 

Monday starts Homecoming Spirit Days!  Monday’s theme is dress like an elementary student.

 

There will be a short meeting with all homecoming representatives at the beginning of 6th hour on Monday, September 27.  Reps are to check in with their 6th hour teacher for attendance and then report to Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.

 

Attention student council - today at lunch we will be counting out ballots.  Please come to

Mrs. VanderBrook’s room at 12:10 to help.

 

YACsters - there will be a meeting Tuesday, September 28 at lunch. Please get to Ms. Morse’s room as soon as possible as there is A LOT to cover.

 

SOPHOMORES – there will be a meeting Tuesday, September 28 at 8:20 a.m. in the auditorium regarding class rings.  You are to report to class for attendance and then go directly to the auditorium.  Information packets will be distributed.

 

JUNIORS and SENIORS - the Alma College representative will be here on Monday, September 27.

If you would like to meet with the rep there is a sign-up sheet in the office.

 

The 2010 yearbooks are here!  They will be available for pick up at lunch today.  If you still owe money, you must pay before receiving the book.  Also, there are a limited number of books available if you wish to purchase.  The cost is $45.

 

The varsity club is accepting applications for membership.  Pick up an application from the athletic wall pocket and return to Mr. McGiness by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 8.

 

JUNIORS – the following information is important!  Float building will take place today from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday from 12-6, instead of 10-4, and Sunday after 1:00 (only if we haven’t finished).  Come and help whenever you can so we can win this again!  We will have food and lots of FUN!    In addition, we will do a can/bottle drive during and at our float meetings.  Collect cans before the float meeting and bring them with you.  We will have some of you work on can returns at the meetings.  The meetings will be at Megan Atkins barn again this year.  Don’t forget to dress up for spirit days next week as this is how our class will win the spirit trip again!   Finally, class dues need to be paid!  END OF STORY!!

 

SENIORS - we plan to work on the float after school today if there are enough supplies available to work with.  Once again, we will be working in the maintenance barn located between the high school and middle school.  We are also willing schedule time with those who are able to work on the float this weekend.  See Mrs. Phillips or Ms. Bernier if you think you can donate to the supply list.  The float meeting will only last as long as we can keep people working.  Please have rides available as work runs out.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

SOPHMORE and JUNIORS - the PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 13, in the auditorium at 8:15 a.m.  The cost is $13.  Sign up in Mrs. Richardson’s office by Friday, October 1.  You can pay the $13 to Ms. Gilson.  Make checks out to LCHS.

Freshman, sophomore, and junior representatives report to the library at the beginning of second hour today, after you have reported to your class for attendance, to have your picture taken.  Seniors will report to the library fifth hour after attendance has been taken.

There will be a Go To meeting today during 5th hour in Mrs. Peterson’s room.  Check in with your teacher before going to her room.  If you cannot attend, touch base with Mrs. Richardson or Mrs. Peterson.

FRESHAN – there will be a freshman class meeting in the shop at the beginning of fifth hour tomorrow.  You must check in with your teacher first for attendance and then go directly to shop.

NHS members - there will be an NHS meeting in Ms. Bernier’s room Wednesday morning at 7:55.  Attendance will be taken so please be on time.  See Ms. Bernier if you are not going to be able to make it.

 

NHS applicants - this is a reminder that your applications are due to Ms. Bernier by 8:15 A.M. this Thursday.  If you have any questions, feel free to stop in and ask.
