STUDENT COUNCIL - Pay Mrs. VanderBrook for your t-shirt today.

 

Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Jimmy Hollars.

 

The library has requested that students do not take their pictures off the display in the hallway until next Friday. 

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

Several college reps will be here next week to visit.  Please sign up in the office to meet with them before school, during lunch, or after school.  If you do not sign up, you will not be able to attend.

 

Cadillac high school will be hosting their annual college night on Wednesday, October 12, from

6:30-8:00 p.m. in their auxiliary gym.  Many college representatives will be there with information.  Juniors and seniors should try to attend!

 

ATHLETICS

 

Varsity football @ Evart, bus departs at 5:00 p.m., game starts at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday – Varsity volleyball @ Suttons Bay, match starts at 8:30 a.m.

 

ATHLETES – all Bear Claw Bag fundraiser order forms (and money) are due TODAY.  Please get your forms and money to Ms. Gilson as soon as possible.

SENIORS – there will be a short meeting tomorrow during first hour.  Go to class for attendance and then report directly to the auditorium. 

 

SENIORS – we have 3 home football and one home volleyball game left.  We need ticket takers for all of these games.  Please see Mrs. Peterson if you are able to help.  We also need students to help sell 50/50 raffle tickets at the home varsity football game against Manton.  Participation will help us gain more cash for your senior trip.

Math tutoring today will be with Mr. Prielipp.

 

If you would like to play or plan on playing softball this spring you must sign up with Mr. Sarau today.

 

PARENTS – “the Missaukee County Road Commission requests your cooperation through the winter months while snowplowing is taking place.  We ask that you be aware of the fact that the plows are on the roads many mornings at the same times that the buses are picking up students.  We urge you to make sure that your children wait a safe distance from the plowed portion of the roadway until the bus actually arrives at their stop.  It is important that we work together to make certain of their safety.”  If you have questions regarding the above or any other snow removal problems, feel free to call Kelly Bekken, manager at the Missaukee County Road Commission 839-4361.

Tomorrow is the last day for sophomores and juniors to sign up to take the PSAT on the morning of Oct. 12.  It is good practice and preparation for the ACT.  Sign up in the office right away and see Mrs. Richardson if you have any questions.

 

Any senior with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, who may be going to CMU can participate in the Centralis Scholarship competition at CMU on October 29.  Register online at www.cmich.edu/centralis.

 

ATHLETICS

 

Cross country @ Mesick, dismissal time 1:00 p.m., bus departs at 1:15 p.m., invite starts at 3:00 p.m.

JV football vs Evart, game starts at 6:30 p.m.

ATHLETES – turn your Bear Claw Bag order forms and money in to Ms. Gilson by this Friday, October 7.

Freshmen need to tear down their float today. All freshmen that can help please meet at the Root’s house at 4:00 p.m.

Math tutoring this Thursday will be with Mr. Prielipp.

 

SOPHOMORES – Jostens will be here today to take your class ring orders in the library during lunch.   A $50.00 deposit is recommended with your order.  If you did not receive an order packet or if you have questions – see Ms. Gilson.

 

Tutoring for all subjects starts today from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in room 13.

 

NHS candidates – your applications are due tomorrow.  They must be turned in to Ms. Bernier by 8:15 a.m.  There are no exceptions.  See Ms. Bernier if you have any questions.

CTC will be holding its annual open house on Tuesday, October 4, from 6-8 p.m. at the Career Technical Center on 13th street in Cadillac.  They have moved the open house from the spring to fall, so go check out all of the programs that are available.
