SOPHOMORES – the Jostens rep will be here today during noon to take your class ring order.  Meet in the library.  If you have questions see Ms. Gilson.

 

Congratulations to our student of the week - Jimmy Hollars.

 

The 2nd Annual Athletic Boosters Tailgate event will take place Friday, October 5, at the Lake City Athletic Complex from 5:30-7 p.m.  They will be serving pulled pork and other delicious items and all proceeds support Lake City Area Schools athletic programs.

Cadillac High School will be hosting their Annual College Night Program for juniors and seniors October 11 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the auxiliary gymnasium.  Many college representatives will be there to talk to and provide you with information.

Volunteers are needed to work at the Annual Chamber Dinner.  It is Tuesday, October 16, at the American Legion downtown.  The time would be from 5:30–7:30 p.m.  This is another great opportunity for NHS service hours, or just to volunteer in your community.  Sign up in

There will be a short class meeting for all freshmen on Thursday, September 27 during 2nd hour.  Students are to report to class for attendance and then report directly to the auditorium.

Complaints have been place by community members regarding trash being left by students.  If this continues off campus privileges for all students may be revoked.

Sophomores – you will meet with Jostens second hour tomorrow (September 25) regarding your class ring order.  Report to second hour for attendance and then your teacher will dismiss you to go directly to the auditorium.

Mobile dentist will be here Thursday and Friday, October 4 and 5.  Forms are located outside the office and must be returned by September 18.

Thank you to Crystal Pendergrass, Meggan Martin, Paige Davis, Nicole Priebe, Brittany Goudos-Weisbecker, and Aric Rhodes for volunteering at the Kiwanis Coats for Kids Dinner last Thursday.  Your help for our community was greatly appreciated!

 

Cadillac High School will be hosting their Annual College Night Program for juniors and seniors October 11 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the auxiliary gymnasium.  Many college representatives will be there to talk to and to provide you with information.

 

The Lions of Michigan Youth Exchange Program is looking for young people between the ages of 17-21 to participate in a 4-6 week cultural exchange.  If you are interested, contact Steve Adsmond, District 11 E1 Chairman, at 231-942-3719 or email him at adsmond@comcast.net for an application.  The deadline to have the application in is September 30!

 

Central Michigan University will be here today and Ferris State on Wednesday.  If you would like to meet with either of these colleges please sign up in the office during your lunch or before or after school.

 

The Rotary Youth Exchange Program is looking for students born between August of 94 and February of 98, with a GPA of 2.75 or higher, and who have an interest in foreign language study and international travel, to sponsor for their exchange program.  If you are interested in being an exchange student next year, you can contact Amy Gibbs at 231-468-1096, or email               amy@sh-cpas.com, or see Mrs. Richardson for a pre-application.  Applications need to be in by September 25.
