There will be class meeting for elections on Tuesday, May 31, during 5th hour.  All students running for an office will give a short speech as to why you should vote for them. 

 

STUDENTS – you will not be able to exempt from a final exam unless ALL FINES ARE PAID.  This includes library, lunch, damaged textbooks, etc.  Make sure you talk to Mrs. Baron, Mr. Homan, and your teachers about this.

 

YAC-sters – if you are interested in attending the summer leadership conference, please see

Ms. Morse ASAP to let her know.  If Ms. Morse does not here from you by lunch today, it will be assumed you are not going!  Thanks.

 

Exam exemption applications are due back today.  Some of you that qualify for an exam exemption due to your ACT or PLAN test score still have not stopped by the office to sign up.  Please stop by during lunch today to do so.

 

STUDENTS - the library will be closing today. Please make sure you have all library books turned in and fines paid to the library today.

COUNSELOR'S CORNER

 

Staircase Youth Services has started a youth drop-in center.  It is open every Monday from 3-7p.m. behind the Cadillac First Church of the Nazarene in the ministry center (large grey building) on M-55 just going in to Cadillac.  It is for anyone ages 16-21 who is at risk or homeless.  It is free!  There is a free meal, lots of activities, games, life skill groups, and friends.  See Mrs. Richardson for more info.

 

The Huron-Manistee National Forest Service Youth Conservation Corps job applications are due to the Cadillac office today!

 

There is an opportunity to make up credits for classes that you haven't passed, in the core subject areas, during summer school.  It will be every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for three weeks starting June 7, and 3 hours per subject.  There is no cost!  If you are in need of making up core classes, see Mrs. Richardson ASAP to sign up.

 

ATHLETICS

 

There will be a meeting right after school Tuesday, May 31, for fall cheer.  The meeting will take place at the middle school with Mrs. Vokes. 

 

All track athletes meet in the elementary library at noon Tuesday, May 31, for a quick meeting to turn in your track uniforms.

 

There will be a meeting today after school for all boys interested in participating in basketball next year.

 

There will be a short meeting during lunch on Tuesday, May 31, for all girls interested in participating in volleyball next year.  Eat quickly and then meet in the auditorium at 12:10.
