SENIORS – if you would like to request a walking partner for graduation you must sign up at

Ms. Gilson’s door today by 3:30 p.m. 

 

NHSers - they are in need of more helpers for the track meet tonight.  See Ms. Gilson if you are able to help.

Congratulations to the winners from the Decision Day drawing – Matt Grieb won a leather binder donated by the Wexford-Missaukee College Access Network, Kameron Maxwell won a Lake City Alumni t-shirt donated by B&D Classic Sewn in Vogel Center, and Eli Bilyea and Makayla Schichtel each won a $10 Walmart gift card donated by CTC.  See Mrs. Richardson to claim your prize!

Lake City Federation of Teachers – for students who have ALREADY BEEN ACCEPTED into the education program of a university.

 

Farm Bureau Bonnie Burkett Scholarship – for students who are from a Farm Bureau family and are pursuing a degree in an agricultural related field.  Applications must be turned in today.

 

Falmouth Co-Op Scholarship – for students who are connected with agriculture and whose family is actively conducting business with the Falmouth Co-Op.  Two $2500 awards will be given.  Application requires references and is due Monday, May 5.

 

Jim Comp Memorial Scholarship Program – for students who are pursuing a career in Natural Resources or Environmental Study within our ISD.  Application is due ASAP.

 

MSU Alumni Club Scholarship – for students who are attending Michigan State University in the fall.  Due ASAP – see Mrs. Richardson.

 

 

ATHLETICS

Congratulations to Mr. Castillo and the high school industrial arts program for their performance

at the Michigan Industrial & Technology Education Society competition held on Friday, April 25.

The alternative education class earned a first place for their chest of drawers and was awarded

Best of Show.  Those students are: Kelsey Clark, Scott Couch, Jake Hansen, Avoryonna Harper, Shelby LaForest, Jared Lyle, Matt Olsen, Jenny Pauley, Danielle Reynolds, Naomi Snyder, Justin Trafford, and Brittney VanDuinen.

 

Students placed as follows:  1st – Tyler Lockwood, Emilie Lolk-Ottosen, Noah Snyder, and Jordan Trumble; 2nd – Justin Balcer, Cody Burns, Cassie Drouillard, and Zach Henry; 3rd – Gregory Courtade, and Marcus Musselman; 4th – Michael Sanderson; 6th – Charles Richards; Honorable Mention – Levi Aten and Zach Henry.  There were ten eighth grade students receiving awards for their projects also.  The 16 projects that placed 1st-4th will advance to the state competition this Thursday and Friday.
