Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Kathleen Bradley.

 

The 2014 Mr. Lake City contest is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at 7:00 p.m.  If you are a junior or senior interested in participating, sign-up in the high school office and pick up an information packet.  There is a limit of twelve contestants, so the first twelve to sign up will be given the opportunity to participate.  Completed information packets are due to the office by Friday,

February 21.

 

The yearbook is now on sale until February 28 through Mrs. Atkins.  The cost is $35.  You may pay $20 now and $15 when they arrive in May.  This will be an interactive book with videos embedded.  We will not be ordering extra, so this will be your one and only chance to purchase the book. 

 

Math tutoring is scheduled today in Mr. Prielipp’s room.

 

Matchmaker forms can be purchased at lunch today for $2.00.

JV/Varsity girls basketball vs Pine River, home, game starts at 6:00 p.m.

Friday – JV/Varsity boys basketball @ Evart, bus departs at 4:30, game starts at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday – JV/Varsity boys basketball @ Beal City, bus departs at 1:30 p.m., game starts

at 3:30 p.m.

 

CHEERLEADING AND GIRLS BASKETBALL – parent’s night is scheduled for Friday, February 21.  Stop by Ms. Gilson’s door before school, after school or during lunch to register your parents.

 

There will be a track sign-up meeting today at 12:10 in the auditorium.  Coaches Nederhood and Colecchio will be there to answer questions.

 

CABERFAE DISCOUNT RED CARDS – red cards are now on sale for $1.00 each.  You may purchase in the high school office.

Courtesy Driving School will be offering the following driver education classes at Lake City High School:  Segment I - March 10–26th from 7-9 p.m. and Segment II - March 10, 12, and 17 from 7‑9 p.m.  To register, please call 1-800-256-9559.  Additional information is located in the wall pockets outside the office, or by visiting courtesydrivingschool.com.

 

Seniors going on the senior trip need to meet in the library today at 3:05 p.m.  If you can't make the meeting please see Mr. Bongard. 

 

All MARKET exhibitors for the Missaukee Agricultural Youth Show are required to attend two educational classes. The class schedule can be found on the Missaukee Agricultural Youth Show Facebook page. Postcards with the schedule will be mailed to exhibitors from last year. Registered 4H members who attend their regular meetings are not required to attend the meetings put on by the MAYS board. Also any exhibitor who participates solely in the indoor or equine events is excused. If you have any questions, please contact Amanda Outman at 231-468-1851.

 

NHSers - we are in need of 1 or 2 people to take care of water bottle recycling.  Also, remember to stop in and pay for your hoodie - $20.

All students going to the LEAD Conference tomorrow meet Mrs. Richardson in the lobby by 8:10 a.m. to get on the bus.  You will not be hunted down. If you aren't there when the bus leaves, you won't be going.
