Congratulations to Maggie Thom – our Student of the Week!

 

There will be a short class meeting for seniors who plan to go on the senior trip today at 3:05 in

Ms. Bernier’s room.  If you have not signed up for the trip yet, be sure to do so during the meeting. Check in with Ms. Bernier or Ms. Phil if you can’t attend the meeting.  Class dues for all four years must be paid by January 6 in order to be able to go on the senior trip. 

 

Mrs. Vanderbrook’s will have tutoring today after school. 

 

Current YAC members – there will be a meeting on Wednesday, November 9 at 7:30 a.m. in the library.

 

 

COUNSELOR CORNER    

 

The local Youth Advisory Committee of the Missaukee Area Community Foundation is looking for new members.  This is for students grades 9–12 who are looking to volunteer, be involved in community service projects, and help approve grant-funding to many organizations.  This is a great way to get involved in your community, and also looks good on applications.  If you are interested, see Mrs. Richardson ASAP.

                                                                            

Seniors – the Mason’s Scholarships application and supporting materials are due to Mrs. Richardson by Thursday, November 10 at noon.

 

Seniors - if you are interested in applying for the Mid-Michigan Community College Laker Distinction Scholarship, you must apply by Saturday, November 12.  See Mrs. Richardson with any questions.    

 

ATHLETICS

 

Winter sports passes are available.  Family $50, adult individual $25, and student $10.  Good for all home games – middle school and high school.

 

All boys going out for JV or Varsity basketball this season - there is a mandatory parent-player meeting on Monday, November 7 in the auditorium at 6:00 p.m. You and at least one parent MUST be in attendance. Trojan Championship Conditioning will follow the meeting at the MS gym from 6:30-7:30 p.m. If you have any questions contact Coach Besko.

 

The football banquet has been rescheduled for November 9 – same time, same place.

 

Cheer team tryouts will be held on November 8, 9 and 10 from 4 to 6 p.m.  Please report to the café ready to practice. You must have a physical on file in order to try out.
