Freshmen - most of you have still NOT paid your $5 class dues.  This needs to be done ASAP!  Please give your money to Mrs. Peterson, Mrs. Atkins, or your class treasurer, Hannah Laskowski.

The Ardis Missaukee District Library will be celebrating National Science Fiction Day on Saturday, January 2 by showing a Star Wars movie with popcorn.  May the force be with you.

 

Congratulations to the following wrestlers who placed Saturday– Harland Holshouser, Lucas Madden, Jon Larkin, and Rayce Sherman in 4th, Justin Atkins in 3rd, Ethan Wetzel, Jacob Shivlie, and Rebecca Pitz in 2nd, and Bobby Snow in 1st!  Our team took 4th place.  Congratulations!

 

There were several students who were nominated for the Be Nice drawing.  The following were drawn and won gift cards and other great prizes – Jesse Tyler, Makala Mattison, and Delaney Spangler for helping a friend, Nate Bergey and Caleb Bilyea for helping a teacher, and Ethan Wetzel for caring about his school.  Follow the announcements for more Be Nice activities to come soon!

This week the Go To Team is sponsoring Be Nice week!  If you notice a classmate, teammate, friend, teacher, or staff member going out of their way to be kind to someone else, you have a chance to recognize them.  In the office (and in the teachers’ lounge for staff) there will be a Be Nice bucket and ballots.  Please stop in to nominate anyone you see being extra nice! Spread some holiday cheer by treating each other nicely. An act of kindness goes a long way for the one being treated kindly, and for the one being kind. There may be fun rewards, too. J

Juniors who would like to help organize the Powder Puff volleyball game, there will be a meeting today at lunch in Mrs. Phillips’ room.  Grab your lunch and come on down. 

 

Juniors will be released at 10:45 today to the auditorium for a career and college presentation, and will be there until lunch.  Seniors will be released to go to the auditorium for the presentation after 5th hour attendance.  Seniors who have PM CTC may go to the morning presentation.

Sophomores - meet in the lobby tomorrow morning when the bell rings.  Attendance will be taken as you board the busses for the CTC visit. Please dress for the weather as you may have a short walk outside to some of the programs.  You will not need to bring anything with you.  You will be returning about 11:30 and will go to your 4th hour class. 

 

Juniors will be released at 10:45 to go to the auditorium tomorrow for a presentation on career and college options, and will be there until lunch.  Juniors who have AM CTC may go to the afternoon presentation if they desire.  Seniors will be released to go to the auditorium for the presentation after 5th hour attendance.  Seniors who have PM CTC may go to the morning presentation.

JV/Varsity girls basketball at Harrison, bus departs at 4:15 p.m., games 6-7 p.m.

 

Students playing golf have training in the weight room tonight, and every Tuesday, from

3:30-4:15 p.m.

 

We have 2 extra football play-off hooded sweatshirts available.  If you are interested, please stop in the athletic office.  They are $25 each.  The Volleyball Highland Conference shirts are still available.

Get yours while they last for $10 each.  We also have 3 size medium and 1 size large Red Sea shirts available.  Cost is $10 each

 

There are Lake City Basketball t-shirts for sale in the office for $15 per shirt. They are all adult sizes small-XL. Sizes are limited so hurry in and get your t-shirt today!

Seniors – Wednesday, December 2, there will be a Postsecondary Planning Evening for you and parents/guardians.  It is at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium.  There will be very important information regarding financial aid and scholarships.  Even if you aren’t planning to go to college right after high school, there will be valuable information you will want.  Everyone should attend.
