Freshmen - you should be busy selling your Christmas wreaths.  Orders and money are due NEXT WEEK.  Also, you need to start paying your class dues!  Not many have done that yet, $5 this year.

 

If you are sporting your RED and BLACK today, check in with your normal teacher the first 10 minutes of lunch for your spirit point.

 

There is no school for students on Monday, November 2 due to staff professional development.

 

Biology tutoring is scheduled today after school with Mrs. Clous.

Juniors or seniors doing Dual Enrollment class 2nd semester - forms must be turned back in to

Mrs. Richardson today!

 

On Tuesday, November 3, a representative from Lake Superior State will be in the library at 8:30 in the morning.  A sign-up sheet is in the office if you would like to meet with them.

 

ATHLETICS

 

Varsity Football at Mason County Central, team bus departs at 4:00, spec bus departs at 4:30, game starts at 7:00 p.m.

 

Saturday – Varsity Cross Country at Gaylord, regionals start at 10:00 a.m.

Saturday – Varsity Volleyball at Beal City, conference tournament starts at 9:00 a.m.

Saturday – JV Volleyball at Evart, conference tournament starts at 9:00 a.m.

 

The cross country banquet will be on Thursday, November 5.

Mrs. Thom will have tutoring today (instead of Friday) from 3:20 to 4:00 p.m.

 

Algebra tutoring is scheduled today after school in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.

In support of our volleyball teams at the Highland conference tournament Saturday, and our playoff-bound varsity football team, the Student Council will be awarding spirit points to those wearing RED on Friday. Check in the first 10 minutes of lunch.

We will have a spec bus to Friday’s football game as Mason County Central.  The bus will cost $3 and leave at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.  The entry ticket to the football game is $5 per person.  This is in addition to the bus cost.  Sign up in the high school office if you are interested.

Mrs. Thom will have tutoring on Thursday this week, instead of Friday, from 3:20 to 4:00 p.m.

 

Go To team – we are meeting to continue to prepare for the assembly TODAY from 2-3.  Please be there so we are ready to go in a few weeks!

Seniors – be sure to see Mrs. Richardson in the high school computer lab tomorrow for College Application Week!  You will get your name in a drawing for several prizes by participating. Prizes include gift cards to Walmart, Subway, and ITunes, plus college swag.  You can get help filling out applications or document where you have applied.  You will also fill out your poster for the hallway!

 

Don’t forget to check in at the table in the lobby at lunch today for class college wear competition.  The grade with the most participating, by percentage, will get a treat on Friday during lunch!

Seniors - remember to pay your class dues!  $20 for senior year.  All class dues must be paid in full if you are planning on going on the class trip.  Money can be turned in to Mrs. Clous or Mr. Bongard.

Today is the annual Dig Pink volleyball game. The student council would like to support the cause, and our volleyball teams, by offering Spirit Points to anyone wearing pink today. Check in noon to 12:10 with the usual advisors for points.

YAC – finger and toes boxes should be out today.  If you do not have the paper that goes on the front of yours, please find Olivia Emond at lunch and she will give you one.

Juniors and seniors who turned in your form for the Baker College Career Exploration Day, you need to be in the lobby when the first bell rings to get attendance and get on the bus tomorrow morning.  We leave at 8:15 a.m. and will return about 10:30 a.m.

 

On Wednesday we will have a class college wear competition to end College Application Week.  Students who wear any suitable college, university, technical school, or military t-shirt (or sweatshirt) can enter for their grade.  Students will check in at the table in the lobby.  The grade with the most participating, by percentage, will get a treat on Friday during lunch!
