SENIORS – there is a senior trip meeting in Mr. Bongard’s room today at lunch.  Be there!

 

Freshmen class officers – we will have a meeting on Tuesday during lunch in Mrs. Thom’s room. 

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

Sophomores and juniors – this is the last day to sign up to take the PSAT on Wednesday,

October 16 in the morning.  There is a sign-up sheet in the office.

 

ATHLETICS

 

Varsity football vs Beal City, home, game starts at 7:00 p.m.

 

Saturday – Varsity volleyball @ Suttons Bay, invite starts at 8:30 a.m.

 

Saturday – JV volleyball @ Mancelona, invite starts at 9:00 a.m.

 

Saturday – Varsity cross country @ Ogemaw Heights, invite starts at 11:00 a.m.

 

SENIOR ATHLETES – applications are available for the MHSAA/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete Award.  You must have a gpa of 3.5 and must have earned your varsity letter.  See Ms. Gilson for an application.  All applications are due by November 22.

 

ATHLETES – the Bear Claw Bags are here.  You need to take them home with you today – or have someone pick them up.  Go to the auditorium after school to pick up your orders.  If you have questions, see Ms Gilson.

SENIORS – Jostens will be here today to take orders for announcements and cap and gown sets.  See them during lunch in the library.  If you need an order packet or have questions see Ms. Gilson.

 

Math tutoring is scheduled for today in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.

Volunteers are needed to help out at the Lake City Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet.  It will be held on Tuesday, October 15 at the American Legion.  Volunteers will need to be there by 5:45 p.m. and will be done by 7:30 p.m.  You will get a free dinner for helping to clear tables, serve coffee, and clean up.  Sign up in Mrs. Richardson’s office for a community volunteer experience.

 

The Wexford-Missaukee Career Tech Center will be hosting its annual open house on Thursday, October 17, from 5-7 p.m.   Check out the great programs that are offered for our students.
