STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Freshmen Class - we need you to meet with your class representatives and advisors tomorrow in the library from 7:55-8:10 a.m. This meeting should only take a few minutes.  Thank you for your attendance and interest as we continue to work toward the success of the class of 2020!

 

Attention Juniors - because we had so many pie orders turned in late, we have had to move the delivery date.  Please make adjustments for pickup and delivery to Monday, November 14. 

 

The annual canned-food drive has begun. Drop off donations to your class advisor’s room each morning. Spirit Points will be awarded each of the four days this year.

 

The NHS is hosting the Red Cross Blood Drive tomorrow. You can save up to three lives, plus free snacks, and you choose which class you get out of. Sign up with Maggie Thom or on the school’s website. You must be 16 to donate.

 

Mobile Dentist will be here on Friday, December 16.  Pick up a form in the office if you would like to receive services that day.  Forms are due back to the office Monday, November 14.  If you have any questions contact Ms. Holly or the office.

COUNSELOR CORNER    

                                                                         

Seniors – we have had zero applications for the two Mason’s Scholarships turned in as of now!  They are due at the end of the day, but if you are close to being done but not quite, see Mrs. Richardson.  This is FREE MONEY FOR COLLEGE!

 

Seniors - the Mid-Michigan Community College Laker Distinction Scholarship is due this Saturday.    

ATHLETICS

 

The Bear Claw trash bags are in.  Stop in Mrs. Vokes’ office to pick them up today!

 

All athletes and students with the large athletic lockers in the locker rooms need to have their lockers emptied, and locks off, by tomorrow for re-assignment for winter sports.  Anything not removed will be removed for you.

 

There is open field this Sunday from 1:30-3:00 for all girls interested in playing softball this spring.  Remember to bring your cleats and glove.

 

Winter sports passes are available.  Family $50, adult individual $25, and student $10.  Good for all home games – middle school and high school.

 

Cheer team tryouts will be held today from 4 to 6 p.m.  Please report to the café ready to practice. You must have a physical on file in order to try out.

JV football players - today is the last day to turn in your $4 to Mrs. Thom.  Turn it in to her ASAP.

Juniors on the Prom Planning Committee - there is a meeting during AI today to initialize plans for prom.  Please check in with your AI teacher and then head directly to the library.

COUNSELOR CORNER    

 

The local Youth Advisory Committee of the Missaukee Area Community Foundation is looking for new members.  This is for students grades 9–12 who are looking to volunteer, be involved in community service projects, and help approve grant-funding to many organizations.  This is a great way to get involved in your community, and also looks good on applications.  If you are interested, see Mrs. Richardson ASAP.
