STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

JV football players - tomorrow is the last day to turn in your $4 to Mrs. Thom.  Please get that money to her ASAP.

 

Juniors - your pie order forms are due to Mrs. Baron!  Please turn in your order forms and money! 

 

Juniors on the Prom Planning Committee - there is a meeting during AI today to initialize plans for prom.  Please check in with your AI teacher and then head directly to the library. 

 

The annual canned-food drive begins tomorrow. Drop off donations to your class advisor’s room each morning. Spirit Points will be awarded each of the four days this year.

 

The NHS will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive this Friday. You can save up to three lives, plus free snacks, and you choose which class you get out of. Sign up with Maggie Thom or on the school’s website. You must be 16 to donate.

 

Freshmen — there will be a full class meeting this Friday morning at 7:50 in Ms. Ellis’ French computer lab, please plan on attending!

 

Mobile Dentist will be here on Friday, December 16.  Pick up a form in the office if you would like to receive services that day.  Forms are due back to the office Monday, November 14.  If you have any questions contact Ms. Holly or the office.

 

COUNSELOR CORNER    

 

The local Youth Advisory Committee of the Missaukee Area Community Foundation is looking for new members.  This is for students grades 9–12 who are looking to volunteer, be involved in community service projects, and help approve grant-funding to many organizations.  This is a great way to get involved in your community, and also looks good on applications.  If you are interested, see Mrs. Richardson ASAP.

                                                                            

Seniors – the Mason’s Scholarships application and supporting materials are due to Mrs. Richardson by Thursday, November 10 at noon.

 

Seniors - if you are interested in applying for the Mid-Michigan Community College Laker Distinction Scholarship, you must apply by Saturday, November 12.  See Mrs. Richardson with any questions.    

There is a YAC meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 in the high school library.

 

ATHLETICS

 

There is open field this Sunday from 1:30-3:00 for all girls interested in playing softball this spring.  Remember to bring your cleats and glove.

 

A representative from Northwestern Michigan College will be here tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. in the library.  Sign up in the office if you are interested.

 

Winter sports passes are available.  Family $50, adult individual $25, and student $10.  Good for all home games – middle school and high school.

 

The football banquet has been rescheduled for November 9 – same time, same place.

Cheer team tryouts will be held on November 8, 9 and 10 from 4 to 6 p.m.  Please report to the café ready to practice. You must have a physical on file in order to try out.
