Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Maggie Eising.

 

Courtesy Driving School will be offering segment II driver education classes at Lake City High School

on Monday and Tuesday, November 25 and 26, and Monday, December 2 from 7-9 p.m.  If you register before class starts the cost is $30.00.  To register, please call 800-256-9559.  You may obtain additional information  outside the high school office or by visiting courtesydrivingschool.com.

 

The student council canned food drive needs your donations!  Please bring in canned food items through Tuesday, November 26 to your class advisor to earn spirit points and help families in need.

 

SENIORS:  it’s time to order your diplomas.  You will need to see Ms Gilson asap to verify the correct spelling of your name.  See her during lunch today.

 

Hats on to NO BULLYING!  Choose to wear a hat to support No Bullying and Tolerance in our school.  Pay a $1 donation to wear your hat all day on Wednesday, November 27.  When you pay your $1, you will receive a sticker to wear showing you promote this cause, which includes stopping cyber-bullying.  The No Bullying sticker must be visible to be able to wear your hat.  So dig out your favorite head covering, dig a handful of change from your car, and support our Go To Team’s anti-bullying efforts.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

A postsecondary planning evening will be held for seniors and parents on Wednesday, December 4 at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium.  There will be a financial aid advisor there to go over the FAFSA and other financial aid information.  Local scholarship applications will be available that night along with a lot of other valuable information.  Seniors need to plan to attend!  See Mrs. Richardson if you have any questions.

 

ATHLETICS

 

BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL:  today’s practice has been changed back to the 6:30-8:00 time slot.  See Ms Gilson if you have questions.

Volleyball players – if you have not yet picked up a slip regarding the volleyball banquet for tomorrow, please see Coach Ardis.  Remember, the banquet starts at 6:00 p.m. 

 

There will be a meeting for all varsity boys basketball players today at 12:10 in the auditorium.  It is important that you be there.

 

Wrestling practice begins tonight.  It is from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.  You must have a physical on file with the athletic department before participating.
