GENERAL

1)  Seniors – This time of year gets very busy for you and it is important that you keep track of dates and deadlines.  a)  It is time to sign up as Graduation Walking Partners.  This will be the person you meet in the middle of the gym and walk in with not who you line up with or sit by.  Please sign up in the office.  If you do not sign up, a partner will be chosen for you.  Monday, 5/11 is the last day.  b)  Your caps & gowns will be distributed Wednesday, May 13 at lunch in the lobby.  c)  Baccalaureate is coming up.  If you are interested in participating see Abby Reitz.  d)  Any library fines or money due must be paid before May 22.

2)  Attention all students – If you have not paid the full balance on your yearbook you must do so by May 15.  If you aren’t sure how much you owe, see someone in yearbook class or Mr. Nederhood.

3)  Come join the Senior’s Oscar Awards Night tonight (Friday) at 7:00 pm in the Gym.  The cost is $2 per person.  Formal dress is encouraged, but not required.  There will be several great performances and the host for the evening is Mr. Gagnon!

4)  Attention presenters of awards and performers for Senior Oscar Night there will be a short meeting today at 3:05 in the gym.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

1)  Challenge of the Week - Each time you fall, focus on rising back up - be a survivor!

2)  The Huron-Manistee National Forests will be filling 2 Youth Conservation Corps positions at the supervisor’s office in Cadillac for the summer.  Positions will be full time, not to exceed 8 weeks, June 22nd – Aug. 14th, $7.40 per hour.  Applications will be taken at the Cadillac office May 2nd – May 21st.  See Mrs. Richardson for applications.

3)  Seniors who are attending Michigan State next fall, see Mrs. Richardson right away for a local scholarship application!

4)  Go To Team Reminder – The Freshman Orientation is Monday the 11th at 7pm.  Please be here on time and wear your shirts!

Any high school student interested in trying out for the 2009-1010 cheerleading squads will need to sign up in the office by 3:30 on Wednesday, May 13.

GENERAL

4)  Sophomores:  Pizza sales must be discontinued because of a change in shipping dates.  We won't be able to accept a June 5 ship date because we will be out of school.  Please return money to people and let them know that it's it out of our control but that we will sell again in the fall.

5)  North Star Driving School will be conducting a Segment I class beginning June 8 at the High School. Information is in the information box by the office.

6)  The list of performers for Senior Oscar Night will be posted on the Student Council bulletin board in the Science wing and on Mrs. Richardson’s window by lunch today.  If you auditioned, please check the list to see if you are scheduled to perform.

7)  Attention Student Council.  We need to have a short meeting on Friday morning at 7:50 am.  Due to AP Testing the meeting will be in the library.

4)  Sophomores:  Pizza sales must be discontinued because of a change in shipping dates.  We won't be able to accept a June 5 ship date because we will be out of school.  Please return money to people and let them know that it's it out of our control but that we will sell again in the fall.

Seniors!  Baccalaureate is coming up.  If you are interested in participating get your lunch and meet in Mr. Sarau’s room at lunch.  We need to get it planned soon.  Graduation is coming!

NHSers -- We are looking for people to help out in the concession stand at the track meet today.  If you are able and interested, see Ms. Bernier ASAP.
