Seniors - class dues are due Thursday, April 2, no exceptions!  Bradley Atkins can tell you how much you owe if you’re not sure. You cannot go on the senior trip unless you pay your dues. 

 

The Mr. Lake City competition is scheduled for this Saturday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the

high school gym.  The cost is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for students, and $13.00 for a family. 

Please come to this fun event and help support after prom. 

 

There will be a rehearsal for the Mr. Lake City contestants and their escorts tonight at 7:00.  Please bring your swim trunks for approval, and everything you need to perform your talent.

SENIORS – Jostens will be here Wednesday, March 18 to distribute graduation orders.

March is Reading Month! Continue to read and pass AR tests to be entered in the drawings for Scholastic Book Fair certificates and a chance to win a Kindle. The second drawing will be later this week. Pajama Day and 1/2 day of reading tomorrow. Spirits points earned for class participation.


8th Grade Greenfield Village Trip The money for Greenfield Village is due by March 26th.


3 on 3 Basketball Tournament Opportunities There are three different "3 on 3" tournaments available for basketball enthusiasts:

1. 10th Annual Reed City 3 on 3 Tournament held on Saturday, March 21

2. Return of the Evart Slam & Jam-3 on 3 Tournament held on Saturday, March 28

3. NMC 3 on 3 Tournament is Saturday, April 18

All tournaments are for boys and girls ages 7-18. All cost $80 for registration. Details for deadlines found on the registration forms located across the hall from the office on the wall between the teacher's lounge and boy's bathroom. Thank you-

The American Red Cross and the National Honor Society will be hosting a spring blood drive on     Friday, March 27 in the high school gym from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Bongard know right away. He plans to ship the order out today.  Thank you for working so hard on this fundraiser.

 

The food service department will have a table set up in the cafeteria today with stir-fry samples.  Please take time to taste it and let them know if you would like to see it on the menu.

English tutoring is scheduled today in Ms. Morse’s room after school.

 

Algebra tutoring is scheduled today in Mrs. Peterson’s and Mrs. VanderBrook’s rooms after school.

 

There will be a dance after the game Friday, February 6 hosted by the freshman class.  Admission will be $3 per person and the dance ends at 11:00 p.m.  If you are not attending the game and only plan to attend the dance, you may not enter the building until 9:00 p.m. Please join us for an awesome end to Chill-Out week.

JV/Varsity girls basketball at Lake Leelanau St. Mary, bus departs at 3:30 p.m., game starts 6:00 p.m.

 

Students - if you are interested in participating in track this spring, plan on attending the sign up meeting this Thursday, February 5 in the auditorium at 12:10 p.m.  Coaches Nederhood

and Colecchio will be available to answer questions or concerns.  If you are unable to attend the meeting please inform a coach of your intentions to participate.

Happy first day of Chill-Out week! Now let’s talk about spirit points. Each day your class can get up to 100 spirit points. That could happen today if 100% of your class mixed and matched. If you did, please check in with the assigned class advisor (not yours) at the beginning of lunch. Seniors will go to Mrs. Baron in the library, juniors will go to Ms. Bernier, sophomores will go to Mr. Bongard, and freshmen can go see Ms. Morse outside the art room. Freshman class officers - there will be a short meeting with Mrs. Baron in the library at lunch today.  Feel free to bring your lunch with you.
