Seniors – you have a meeting with Jostens Monday morning in the auditorium regarding announcement orders.  Go to class for attendance and then head to the auditorium.

 

Seniors – float building is scheduled Sunday from 12-8 p.m. at the Aten’s house. 

 

Dance guest pass forms are available in the office and must be turned in to the office at least two days before the dance. 

 

The powder puff football game will be Monday, October 5 starting at 7:00 p.m. at the football field.  Admission is $3 and concessions will be available. 

 

Under classmen playing in the powder puff football game have practice at the field behind the high school on Saturday from 1:30 – 2: 30 p.m. and Sunday from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

 

Homecoming dance picture brochures are now available in the office.

 

Get ready for spirit week!  Monday is fake an injury, Tuesday is Halloween day, Wednesday is class pattern day (freshmen wear camo, sophomores wear tie dye, juniors wear animal print, and seniors wear plaid), Thursday is be a celebrity or rock star, and Friday is red, black, and white day!

 

There will be a short student council meeting today at 12:15 in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.

 

Mrs. Thom will have tutoring today after school from 3:20 to 4:00 p.m.

 

The Go To Team is sponsoring daily challenges.  Today the word is FEAR - fear defeats more people than any other one thing in the world.  The CHALLENGE for today is to face a fear, take a risk and do something to make yourself proud.

Juniors - we will be working on the float at the Trolz’s residence after school this week.  Please bring any materials you have and join us!  Also, please remember to pay your class dues.  Junior year dues are $15.

 

There will be a student council meeting at lunch in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room today.

 

Seniors – please stop by Mrs. Clous’ room during lunch one day this week if you would like to help with float building.  The float building schedule is tomorrow from 5-8 p.m. and Sunday 12-8 p.m. at the Aten’s house.  Please ask if you need directions.  We still need a few volunteers for the powder puff game and 50/50 ticket takers for the homecoming football game.  Let Mrs. Clous or Mrs. Bongard know if you can help. Seniors will be working on banners and car signs today after school in

Mrs. Clous’ room.

This year a new dance guest pass form is required for any guest coming to a Lake City high school dance who is not a student of Lake City. Forms are available in the office.  Completed forms must be turned in to the office at least two days before the dance. 

 

Seniors we will be working on float building items during lunch today.  If you are interested in helping, meet in Mrs. Clous’ room.  Also, class officers will meet during lunch today regarding the fundraiser.

Lake City NHS will be sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, October 5. If you are 16 or older, please consider donating. You donation can save up to three people.

 

Sophomores - there is a change to the float building schedule. Tonight we will work from 3:30-7 p.m., instead of 5-7 p.m.  Please swing by the library to pick up a revised schedule.  We will also post the new schedule on our board in the hallway.  Also, remember to vote for your homecoming representative tomorrow morning in Mr. Thom’s room. Attention Teacher Academy students - remember to meet in Mrs. Hejnal’s office today during lunch. Pick up your lunch and head down. Your time sheets must be turned it to the office today!

 

We will be taking spirit points differently this year. Instead of it based on what grade you are in today, it will be what year you should be graduating. Please check Mr. Thom’s window and let him know if you are on the wrong list.

Seniors - your Yankee Candle fundraisers are due today!  Turn in orders to Mr. Bongard or

Mrs. Clous.  Also, if you have any float building ideas, please come to Mrs. Clous’ room during lunch to start planning.

Students will be dismissing in small groups throughout the morning for school pictures in the auditorium.  Afternoon CTC students make sure you have your picture taken before you leave!

 

Attention Teacher Academy students - just a reminder to meet in Mrs. Hejnal's office during lunch tomorrow. Get your lunch first, and then head down. Don’t forget the Lake City Athletic Boosters Annual Pig Roast at the Athletic Complex from 5-7:00 tonight before the Trojans take on the Beal City Aggies!
