GENERAL

 

The yearbook class is looking for summertime pictures.  The pictures can be on disk or already printed.  We will give the pictures back to you as soon as we have saved them to our site.  If you have any pictures that we could use, we would greatly appreciate it.  Please give them to Mrs. Atkins. 

 

Attention Sophomores – Jostens will be here on Tuesday, September 30 during lunch in the lobby to take class ring orders.  A deposit is not required.

 

Attention All High School Students – School Pictures will be taken Tuesday, September 30.  All students including seniors need to have their picture take for a school ID.  AM CTC students report to the auditorium after 8:00 a.m. to get your picture taken before you get on the bus.

 

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

Sophomores and Juniors – The PSAT will be given here at school on the morning of Wednesday, October 15.  This is a practice SAT test and also the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship if you take it as a Junior.  The cost to take the test is $13.  This needs to be paid to the office by the day of the test.  Make checks payable to Lake City High School.  There is a sign-up sheet in the office and you need to sign up by October 1.  See Mrs. Richardson if you have any questions. 

 

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation awards more than 4000 scholarships each year.  Seniors – to apply for scholarships go to www.coca-colascholars.org by October 31!

 

After school tutoring will start Tuesday, September 30, from 3:30 to 4:30 in Room #11.  NHS students will be available to help w/ school work or just use it as a time to get caught up and get things done.  See Mrs. Richardson if you have any questions.
