GENERAL

 “Chill Out Week” is this week.  The dress-up days are as follows to earn spirit points.

Friday-Red, White and Black

Please keep the dress code in mind as you put your outfits together.

 

Seniors – If you prefer to submit a picture for the composite, the deadline is this Friday, February 6.  It must be a head & shoulder pose.  If the picture was taken by someone other than Prestige/LifeTouch it must be accompanied by a release and a $10.00 fee.

 

Prom Committee – There will be a meeting in the elementary library next Wednesday, February 11 at

4:30 p.m. to discuss after prom ideas.

 

Mock Rock will begin at 6:30 pm this Saturday in the Gym with a dance following at 8pm in the Cafeteria.  The dance is a Hawaiian theme.  The cost is $5, but if you dress Hawaiian the cost will only be $3!  Hope to see you there!

 

Attention Mock Rock participants:  We will be having practice Thursday during last hour.  See Mrs. Richardson for your time slot.

 

JUNIORS who have not voted for their senior trip preference need to contact Mrs. Lisa Richardson in the lower elementary office to vote.  Juniors may also pick up information for the Yankee Candle fundraiser and pay their class dues in the lower elementary office.

 

Anyone who plans to bring a guest to the Sadie Hawkins dance that is not a Lake City High School student must sign up in the high school office.  All guests are subject to approval by Mrs. Baase.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

Reminder:  Tutoring on Tuesdays and  Thursdays in Room #11 from 3:30 – 4:30.

 

11^th and 12^th grade students interested in Cosmetology:  There is an apprenticeship program available through The Looking Glass Family Salon.  If you are interested, see Mrs. Richardson for application information.

 

Sophomores and Juniors:  CTC applications for next year are available in the info center outside of Mrs. Richardson’s office.  All students who wish to attend CTC next year need one.  Note that there are two new programs available (if enough student sign up):  Public Safety and TV/Media Production.  More info on these programs is available next to the applications.  Turn completed applications in to Mrs. Richardson ASAP!

 

Seniors and Juniors – there is an open house at the Michigan Institute of Aviation and Technology on Feb. 28^th.  If you are interested, pick up a flyer outside of Mrs. Richardson’s office.

 

If you are a senior who is going into a Health related field and interested in volunteering to work w/ the elderly, see Mrs. Richardson for information.

 

SPORTS

Cheer team practice will be 3:45 to 5:00 today.  If you cannot be at practice please let your coach know.  We have games on Thursday and Friday.
