2. Attention all students! Today is your last chance to purchase a yearbook and you don’t want to miss out. The cost is $40.00, pay $20.00 now and the rest later. This is your last chance. Lists of the yearbook staff members are posted throughout the hallway. Please order from one of them.
3. Attention all those who can sing, dance, perform or have another talent. Senior Oscar Night is coming May 8th and the student council is looking for performers. Please see Mrs. Richardson or Mrs. VanderBrook if you are interested.
4. Have you ever dreamed of being a firefighter? The Lake Missaukee Fire Explorers would like to announce that they will be recruiting. The explorers would like to show you what they do and what the benefits are in the program. The meeting will be in the auditorium on Tuesday, April 28 at 4:00pm. Ages 14-21 are welcome. If you have any questions please find Natasha or Chelsea Murray for more details.
5. Freshmen - A HUGE thank you goes out to all of you who helped with the pop can/bottle drive on Saturday. We made a lot of money in a short time. Way to go!! Also, freshmen who have not paid their $5 dues for this year please do so as soon as possible. FYI - Next year sophomore dues will be $10.
COUNSELOR’S CORNER
1. Challenge of the Week - to go out of your way to do something nice for yourself.
2. Baker College of Cadillac is hosting it’s 11th Annual Career Fair on Wednesday, April 22 from 2 – 6 PM. Seniors are strongly encouraged to attend. There will be over 30 exhibitors. There is no cost. Bring your resume’ and “Dress for Success”.
3. Summer Camps: Mrs. Richardson has info available on summer camps at Ferris for 10th and 11th graders. CTC will pay your way. There are some great opportunities. Info is in the pocket in the information centers. Also, CTC has FREE summer camps available for current 9th graders in Computers, Mechanics, Electronics, Health, Welding, Metal Working, Floral Design and Culinary. See Mrs. Richardson for information!
4. Ferris College of Engineering Technology will be holding an Open House on Saturday, April 25th, from 9am – 1pm. Pre-registration is required for this FREE event at www.ferris.edu/technology. This is a good opportunity to learn about the programs in Engineering Tech and exciting career opportunities.
