GENERAL

Have you ever dreamed of being a firefighter?  The Lake Missaukee Fire Explorers would like to announce that they will be recruiting.  The explorers would like to show you what they do and what the benefits are in the program.  The meeting will be in the auditorium today, Tuesday, April 28 at 4:00pm.  Ages 14-21 are welcome.  If you have any questions please find Natasha or Chelsea Murray for more details.

 

The Kiwanis Summer Swim Program is looking for a Lifeguard for 6 weeks during July and August.  You must be certified and pay is dependent on experience.  If you are interested, contact Charlie Parsons at 839-2266.

 

Permission slips for the Spirit Trip need to be turned in by 3:30 Thursday, April 30th.  No exceptions!!!!!!!  If it is not turned in by then you will not be going.  Turn it in early in case you are absent next Thursday.

 

Seniors – Mr. Bongard needs your money for the trip no later than Wednesday, 4/30.  That is tomorrow.

 

Did anyone take the wrong suit jacket home from the Prom?  If so, stop in the office.

 

Student Council Members – There will be a meeting tomorrow (Wed) at 7:40am in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.  It is very important that you are there.  We have a lot to do!!!

 

Sophomore class officers -- We will be meeting on Wednesday during lunch.  Please get your lunches and come down to Mrs. Phillips' room.  Please make sure to bring your possible prom site info with you.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

Challenge of the Week - Notice if your attitudes are lifting you up or tearing you down.

 

The Huron-Manistee National Forests will be filling 2 Youth Conservation Corps positions at the supervisor’s office in Cadillac for the summer.  Positions will be full time, not to exceed 8 weeks, June 22nd – Aug. 14th, $7.40 per hour.  Applications will be taken at the Cadillac office May 2nd – May 21st.  See Mrs. Richardson for applications.

 

Seniors who are attending Michigan State next Fall, see Mrs. Richardson right away for a local scholarship application!
