STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to Meggan Martin – Student of the Week!

 

North Star Driving School will be holding a segment one class beginning November 3.  If interested, call

839-5331 to register.

 

JUNIORS – your pizza and cookie dough orders will be delivered this Friday.  Make arrangements to pick them up or have someone pick them up in Mrs. Phillips’ room after school.

 

NHS – there will be a meeting on Thursday, October 15 at 12:20 p.m. in Ms. Bernier’s room.  Please be on time!

 

SENIORS – this Friday, October 16, is Senior Day.  All seniors are to report to their first hour class for attendance.  You will be dismissed by an intercom announcement for a 15 minute class meeting in the auditorium.  After the class meeting you will return to class.  Then, in groups of ten, you will be called back to the auditorium to place your Jostens order, fill out forms, vote on some class items, and get your “Quick Shot.”  Quick Shot is a head and shoulders picture taken for the composite, and all seniors must have one.  If you have questions please see Mrs. Pedlar or Mrs. Hose.

 

FRESHMEN – you are needed to sell 50/50 tickets at this week’s JV football game.  This is an easy way to make money.  See Ms. Morse or Mrs. McNalley.  Also – dues, dues, dues!

 

FRESHMEN – if you are interested in purchasing a 2008-09 middle school yearbook, see Mrs. Pedlar.  Cost is $13.00.  Books are limited.

 

SOPHOMORES – our Gordon Food Service pie fundraiser is now underway.  Sell until October 26th!  Money needs to be collected when you order.  If you were not at the class meeting please stop and get a form from Mrs. Peterson.  Don’t forget to pay your dues asap!

 

JUNIORS AND SENIORS –  this week the following school reps will visit:  Grand Valley on October 14, Saginaw Valley, Michigan Tech on October 15, Northern Michigan University and Mid-Michigan on October 16.  Sign up in the high school office if you are interested in meeting with any of these reps. 

 

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

Those who are signed up to take the PSAT tomorrow (Wednesday) need to report directly to the auditorium when the bell rings.  Bring a sharpened pencil and a calculator.  The $14 test fee is due when you take the test.  See Mrs. Richardson if you have any questions.

 

Juniors and Seniors - Cadillac High School’s annual college fair is Wednesday, October 14, starting at

6:30 p.m. in their auxiliary gymnasium. 

 

 

ATHLETICS

 

ATHLETES – your Bear Claw trash bag orders are due this Friday, October 16.  Give your order form and money to Ms. Gilson or Mr. McGiness.

 

Varsity cross country - jamboree at Pine River – 4:30 p.m. – bus leaves at 2:45 – dismissal at 2:30

 

JV/Varsity volleyball at NMC – 6:00 p.m. – bus leaves at 5:00.
