STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thursday, December 03, 2009

FROM THE PRINCIPAL – there has been way too much trash and food in the hallways.  If you do not clean up your mess, there will be no food allowed out of the cafeteria.

There will not be a Go To Team meeting today.  We will meet tomorrow during lunch and then on Tuesday during 3rd hour in the auditorium

STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICERS ONLY – meet in Mrs. Richardson’s office today during lunch at 12:15 for a short meeting.

A student has lost their class ring.  If you have it or find one please bring it to the office as soon as possible.

VARSITY CLUB – there will be a meeting on Monday, December 7 at 12:15 in the auditorium.

SENIORS – your dues are to be paid in full by December 18 if want to participate in the senior trip process (location discussion, voting, attending).

SOPHOMORES   If you are interested in donating money to a collection for Alec please give money to Mrs. Peterson or Mrs. Atkins.  We plan to get a plant arrangement for the Ash family and with any extra money, give a donation or special gift.  We will also be sending a card.  More information on that later.

Information concerning visitation/funeral times for Alec is available in the office.  You may stop in and pick up this information during lunch today.

A representative from Mid-Michigan Community College will visit on December 9.  Sign up in the office if you would like to meet with the rep.

There will be an NHS meeting in or near Ms. Bernier’s room today at 12:20.

NHS will begin recycling plastic water/juice bottles.  There will be a can near the lobby and one near Ms. Bernier’s room.  Look for them and use them correctly.

The Missaukee County Road Commission is reminding us that snow plows are on the roads many mornings at the same time busses are picking up students.  Make sure you wait a safe distance from the plowed portion of the roadway until the bus comes to a complete stop.

JUNIORS – we are looking for four people to take tickets at each of the home boys’ basketball games.  The season kicks off next week.  Please see Mrs. Phillips or Ms. Bernier if you’re able to work the freshmen game after school next Wednesday or the JV/Varsity game next Thursday night.

Jostens will deliver class rings on December 8.

Caberfae Peaks Community Red Cards are available for $1.00 each.  Red cards offer discounts on lift tickets and ski or board rentals.  If you would like to purchase a red card see Ms. Gilson before school, during your lunch break, or after school.

Trojan-wear will be on sale through December 4.  Extra order forms are in the information center outside Mrs. Richardson’s office.  Get some “red and black” to wear and support LCHS!  Items are great Christmas gifts.
