YACsters – there will be an important meeting Wednesday at noon in Ms. Morse’s room. Grab your lunch and take it to her class as quickly as possible.
Sign up for after-prom activities during lunch this week. After the prom join your classmates at the new YMCA for swimming, basketball, volleyball, food, and fun. Cost is $10.00 – this includes a t-shirt and lots of memories.
We have scheduled a time to clean out lockers this Thursday, March 25 during 6th hour. Students will be dismissed to clean their lockers in this order: 9th grade 1:30-1:40, 10th grade 1:40-1:50, 11th grade 1:50-2:00,
12th grade 2:00-2:10.
Prom is only a month away! Tickets will go on sale after spring break. Prom is scheduled for Saturday,
April 24 from 8-11:30 p.m. at Fox Hill in Cadillac. Cost is $25 per person, and tickets will include a small photo package, a jump drive with your printable photo, and your choice of approximately 20 other candid dance photos that you can download from LifeTouch’s web site.
GOVERNMENT AND ECON STUDENTS – you must turn in your permission slip for the Governor’s Breakfast to Ms Gilson by 3:30 TODAY. Remember to dress appropriately – no jeans or t-shirts. The bus will leave the school at 7:25 a.m.
SENIORS – the deadline for turning in your senior picture, baby picture, and quote is March 24. If you would like to see any of these things in the yearbook, get them to Mrs. Atkins, Caelan, or Brandee.
The 2010 yearbook is now on sale – cost is $35. You may pay $20 now and $15 at the end of the school year. All checks are to be payable to Lake City Yearbook. See Mrs. Atkins to order. Also, you may go to www.jostensyearbooks.com to order your book. Different pages will be posted outside Mrs. Atkins’ window in the coming weeks – check it out if you would like to see what pages you and your friends are on.
COUNSELOR’S CORNER
The list of scholarships on the website has been updated. Look under “For Students.” Seniors – be sure to check it out – there are still some good opportunities available.
ATHLETICS
JV and varsity softball practice has been rescheduled to 3:30 today. Meet in the gym. If you need to call home about this, do so during lunch or after school.
