There will be an assembly first hour Wednesday morning, September 29, to introduce our 2010 homecoming candidates for king and queen.  All students are to report to their first hour class for attendance.  Teachers will then escort their class to the gym.  Morning CTC students are to report directly to the gym.  Students will vote during 5th hour classes.  Afternoon CTC students are to vote with Mr. Thom before boarding the bus.

 

Don’t forget about the homecoming bonfire Wednesday, September 29 at 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.  Meet on the practice field behind the high school (across from Foster’s Supermarket). Come for fun, games and spirit points! If the weather is bad, we will meet in the gym.

 

All homecoming representatives are to meet in the gym Wednesday, September 29 at the beginning of 6th hour for practice.  Report to your class first for attendance and then go directly to the gym.

 

The homecoming dance will be Saturday, October 2 from 8-11:15 p.m.  Cost is $5 to get in.  Anyone wishing to bring a visitor MUST register their guest in the office by 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 30.  Guest must be a high school student under 20 years of age.  Sign up before school, after school, or during lunch – not during class time.

 

Tuesday’s spirit theme is dress like your favorite music genre or musician.

 

There will be a short meeting with all homecoming representatives at the beginning of 6th hour today.  Reps are to check in with their 6th hour teacher for attendance and then report to Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.

 

YACsters - there will be a meeting tomorrow at lunch. Please get to Ms. Morse’s room as soon as possible as there is A LOT to cover.

 

SOPHOMORES – there will be a meeting tomorrow 8:20 a.m. in the auditorium regarding class rings.  You are to report to class for attendance and then go directly to the auditorium.  Information packets will be distributed.

 

SOPHOMORES – awesome job float builders who came out this weekend to work!   We are almost finished!  Those of you who are able to work tonight need to meet in Ms. Morse’s room after school to wrap things up

 

JUNIORS – you did a fantastic job building your float this weekend.  Thank you to all who helped, you are wonderful!

 

As of today any high school student with $4.00 or more in charges will not be allowed to charge until their balance is paid.

 

The varsity club is accepting applications for membership.  Pick up an application from the athletic wall pocket and return to Mr. McGiness by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 8.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

SOPHMORE and JUNIORS - the PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 13, in the auditorium at 8:15 a.m.  The cost is $13.  Sign up in Mrs. Richardson’s office by Friday, October 1.  You can pay the $13 to Ms. Gilson.  Make checks out to LCHS. 

 

ATHLETICS

 

9th grade volleyball at Reed City, 6:00 p.m., bus leaves at 4:30.
