Don’t forget about the homecoming bonfire tonight from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.  Meet on the practice field behind the high school (across from Foster’s Supermarket). Come for fun, games and spirit points! If the weather is bad, we will meet in the gym.

 

All homecoming representatives are to meet in the gym today at the beginning of 6th hour for practice.  Report to your class first for attendance and then go directly to the gym.

 

The homecoming dance will be Saturday, October 2 from 8-11:15 p.m.  Cost is $5 to get in.  Anyone wishing to bring a visitor MUST register their guest in the office by 3:30 p.m. tomorrow.  Guests must be a high school student and under 20 years of age.  Sign up before school, after school, or during lunch – not during class time.

 

Thursday’s spirit theme is color day.  Seniors dress in orange, juniors in green, sophomores in pink, freshman in purple and staff in blue.

 

The varsity club is accepting applications for membership.  Pick up an application from the athletic wall pocket and return to Mr. McGiness by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 8.

 

SOPHOMORES - the Jostens representative will be here Wednesday, October 6 during lunch to take your class ring orders.  He will set up in the lobby.  If you do not have an order packet, stop by the office and pick one up before October 6.

 

If you would like to participate in a game during the assembly Friday afternoon, please sign up in the office. Sign up before school, after school, or during lunch – not during class time.

 

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

SOPHMORE and JUNIORS - the PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 13, in the auditorium at

8:15 a.m.  The cost is $13.  Sign up in Mrs. Richardson’s office by Friday, October 1.  You can pay the $13 to Ms. Gilson.  Make checks out to LCHS. 

 

JUNIORS AND SENIORS – please check the bulletin board in the library hallway for college, testing, and scholarship information.  Several college reps will be coming to visit soon.  Be sure to listen to and read the announcements daily to know when the college reps are coming, then sign up in the office to schedule a meeting with them.  If you don’t sign up, you will miss it!
