STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thursday, January 05, 2012

Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Maggie Eising.

Math tutoring after school today will be with Mr. Thom.

The yearbook is on sale until January 23.  The cost for the book is $35 or $40 for a personalized one with your name across the front.  You may make a deposit of $20 to reserve a copy.  An example of the personalized book is in Mrs. Atkins’ window.  You may also order online at www.yearbookforever.com.   Have checks made out to Lake City Yearbook, and submit to

Mrs. Atkins.  Remember, we WILL NOT be ordering any extra yearbooks.

First semester exam exemption applications are available outside the office.  The completed applications must be returned to the office by 3:30 p.m. tomorrow.  Late applications will not

be accepted.

Camp Rotary counselor applications are available in the office.  Stop in the office during lunch or before or after school to pick one up.  The required items listed on the application must be returned to the high school office by January 27.

Juniors – volunteers are needed to sell 50/50 raffle tickets for tonight’s basketball game.  Please sign up in Ms. Morse’s room a.s.a.p. if you can help.  Volunteers are also needed to help at the Polar Plunge Saturday, January 21.  It is for a good cause and a great way to earn money for your class.

NHSers:  T-shirts are in!  Ms. Bernier will trade you a shirt for $13.00.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

Seniors – many of the local scholarship applications are due to Mrs. Richardson by January 20,

so start working on them!  Also, start preparing to fill out the FAFSA!

Any sophomore who may be interested in attending a Michigan summer leadership conference called MI LEAD, see Mrs. Richardson.  We have a local organization that will pay for two of our students to attend.  We had a student who attended last year and loved it and will tell you more about it.
