Senior Oscar Night 2012 is finally here! Help celebrate the best (and worst) of the Class of 2012 tonight at 7:00 p.m. There will also be live performances by some of the best talent of LCHS. It’s sure to be a memorable night, so come dressed to impress and ready to be enthralled. Tickets are $3 each or $10 for the whole family. Seniors get in free!

 

Anyone who did not get a permission slip and information packet for the senior trip, pick one up from Mrs. Peterson a.s.a.p.  Your permission slip/medical information slip is due back by April 30. 

No exceptions!  Get them in NOW!  Also, if you have not paid your additional $10.00, get that to

Mrs. Peterson a.s.a.p. as well.

What is Forensics?  Isn’t that what they do on CSI?  Come to the Food Factory on Sunday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m. to learn what Forensics is really about, because it is not all about blood and guts!  Enjoy performances by your classmates at they prepare to advance to the state finals May 4 and 5 at Western Michigan University.

It is that time of the year again.  If you are a senior, please make sure you have paid all of your library fines, and returned all of your library books by May 9, or you will not receive your cap and gown.  Underclassmen – you must pay your fines and return your books by May 28, or you will not receive your final report card.

 

Math tutoring today will be with Mr. Prielipp. 

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

Ferris State College will be here on May 3.  There is a sign- up sheet is in the office.

 

The CTC Building Class is offering a brand new program just for girls called “Tech Girls”.  It is a specialty class for young women to get life skills in home repairs and maintenance and personal projects. It will be a lifetime benefit to be able to do exciting things in your home and save you money!  If you are interested in learning more, see Mrs. Richardson.  This is a great opportunity for senior girls who have a lot of room in their schedule!

 

Grades 9 – 11 – if you have not done your schedule requests for next year, you need to do so this week.   Log in to your PowerSchool account and go under “Class Registration”.  Everything is explained on there.  If you can’t get on your account or have questions, see Mrs. Richardson a.s.a.p.  The ability to request or make changes will be closed at the end of the day tomorrow!

 

The Michigan Department of Transportation is looking for summer help.  You must be at least 16 and be able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, throughout the summer.  Applications can be picked up at the Transportation Service Center at 7915 US 131 Highway in Cadillac (near the State Police Post, just past Highpoint and VanDries).  Application deadline is April 30th and interviews will be conducted that Tuesday through Friday.  For more information contact Lake City graduate- Amber VanderStow at 231-342-2738.
