Congratulations to Tyler Bergey – our Student of the Week.



Missaukee Paddle Sports invites Lake City High School students to join our Lets Go Paddling! passport program for a summer of fun on Lake Missaukee. We offer canoes, kayaks, and new this year, stand-up paddle boards. Each pass includes unlimited canoe, kayak, and board rental on Lake Missaukee throughout the season, based on availability.

The cost is $30 per pass and can be purchased by contacting Missaukee Paddle Sports - 839.8265.



Math tutoring tomorrow will be with Mrs. Peterson.



Students- please make sure you have paid all of your library fines, and returned all of your library books by May 28, or you will not receive your final report cards. Also remember to pay any lunch charges that are owed.



Attention student body - it is time to run for president, vice president, secretary or treasurer and student council.

Forms are available from Mrs. VanderBrook or your class advisor. Student council petitions can only be picked up from

Mrs. VanderBrook. All forms are due no later than Tuesday, May 22 at 3:30 p.m. No late forms will be accepted.



Attention student council – there will be a very short meeting in Mrs. VanderBrook's room during lunch today. Be there promptly at 12:10 p.m.



COUNSELOR'S CORNER

Students who want to take an Independent Study online class, a Dual Enrollment class, or be a part of the Teacher Academy for next year, you must turn in paperwork by Friday. If you have not picked up the paperwork, see Mrs. Richardson right away. If you do not get your registration forms in by this Friday, you will not be able to take one of these courses next fall. This is the final deadline! See Mrs. Richardson with any questions.


We are offering a Summer Credit Recovery session again this summer. You can make up a credit in Math, English, Science, or Social Studies (maximum of 3 courses = 1.5 credits). The program will run for 3 weeks, 3 days per week, 3 hours per day per class, beginning on June 12. If you are in need of making up a core class, see Mrs. Richardson for a sign-up sheet.



If you receive free or reduced lunch and are interested in a summer work program, see Mrs. Richardson to fill out an application. It would be 40 hours per week for July and August and you would need transportation to and from work.

ATHLETICS



Boys Varsity Golf @ Manton, dismissal time 1:45 p.m., bus departs at 2:00 p.m., match starts at 3:00 p.m.



Football sign up is today at 11:40 a.m. in the gym.



A fundraiser for the wrestling program has been scheduled for Saturday, May 26. Any student interested in helping, must sign up with Ms. Gilson by Wednesday, May 23. You will be picking up pine cones for the Dutchman Tree Farm. Transportation to the farm will be provided. Meet in the north parking lot of the high school by 8:00 a.m. on the 26th.



Trash bag pick up will be Thursday (5/17) at the Varsity track meet. If for some reason this does not work for you please contact Shawn Redman 839-2943 to make other arrangements.
