STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Wednesday, September 12, 2012

NHS applications are due by 8:15 a.m. this Friday.  No exceptions!  See Ms. Bernier if you have any questions.

Picture brochures for the homecoming dance are in the high school wall pocket.  Brochures will also be available at the dance.

Who will win the 2013 Spirit Trip? Currently (after two Spirit Days) the seniors are in the lead, but the freshman scored more points yesterday than any other class. The current totals are posted in Mr. Thom’s lab window. Tonight at the bon fire is another opportunity to get some points, so we’ll see you out back around 6:30 p.m. In addition to Spirit Week, your class can get points in the annual canned-food drive, Chill-out week, and this year at Mock Rock. There’s a long way to go, are the seniors going to walk away with it?

Seniors - we will put finishing touches on our float tonight right after school.

There will be a student council meeting for all members today at lunch in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.

The senior class will be selling “Go Trojans!” bracelets in the lobby at lunch this week for $1. Seniors, if you would like to sell bracelets at lunch, please sign-up on the sheet outside Ms. Morse’s room.  Also, we need 50/50 sellers and bracelet sellers for the game Friday night.

The homecoming dance is scheduled for Saturday, September 15 from 8-11:15 p.m.  Anyone wishing to bring a visitor must register their guest in the office by 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 13.  Guests must be a high school student under 20 years of age.  Sign up before school, after school, or during lunch – not during class time.

Don’t’ forget to claim your spirit points during lunch.  We will collect points from 12-12:10 each day this week.

Students interested in participating in the pep assembly activities this Friday may sign up today in the lobby during lunch.

Don’t’ forget about the homecoming bonfire tonight at 6:30 p.m.   Meet on the practice field behind the high school (across from Foster’s).  If there is inclement weather, meet in the cafeteria.

Mobile Dentist will be here Thursday and Friday, October 4 and 5.  Forms are located outside the office and must be returned by September 18.

All homecoming reps are to meet in the gym 1st hour on Thursday, September 13.  Report to class for attendance and then go directly to the gym.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

This Saturday at 10 a.m. there is a Suicide Awareness Walk, which is for awareness, prevention and remembrance.  It will start at the Cadillac Rotary Pavilion and go to the Lakefront Bridge near Cadillac High School.  This is put on for our community by the Wexford-Missaukee Suicide Prevention Coalition.  To support this cause, be at the Pavilion by 10 a.m.  It is a very nice event.
