Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Dexter Porter. 

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER  We are starting our high school tutoring program this week.  Science tutoring will take place today from 3:30-4:40 p.m. in Mrs. Clous’ room.  Wednesdays, October 24 there will be tutoring for any subject from 3:30-4:30 p.m., with alternating teachers and NHS students in room 13.  Thursdays, October 25 there will be math tutoring from 3:30-4:15 p.m., with alternating math teachers in their rooms.  Check the schedules that will be posted or listen to the announcements for details.   ATHLETICS   Senior Athletes – applications are available for the MHSAA-Farm Bureau Scholar Athlete Award.  Lake City may submit applications for three boys and three girls.  See Ms. Gilson for eligibility requirements and an application.  Deadline for application is Wednesday, November 19.   The Volleyball athletes will be selling pink volleyball cut outs at lunch time for their Dig Pink game on Tuesday.  When you purchase one of the volleyballs for a dollar, you will be able to write the name of a cancer victim or survivor on it and they will be hung on the wall of the gym for the next home volleyball game. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to a cancer organization. Thank you for your support!   Volleyball athletes – parents’ night is scheduled for Tuesday, October 23.  Some of you still have not registered your parents.  You must do so by 3:30 today.   There will be an important meeting for all boys who plan to participate in wrestling on Tuesday, October 23 at 12:15 p.m. in the auditorium.  Please be prompt.
