There will be a half-day of school tomorrow.  There will also be a half-day of school for students Wednesday, November 14, with no afternoon CTC bus and no school on Thursday, November 15. 

 

The annual food drive has begun. Please bring in non-perishable food to your class advisor’s room through Tuesday, November 20. Not only will you be helping those less fortunate, but your class will grab a percentage of the 40 spirit points up for grabs.

 

Remember to wear your red, black and white tomorrow in support of our varsity football team as they head to the regional finals Saturday at Ishpeming. Go Trojans!   Math tutoring is in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room today after school.   COUNSELOR’S CORNER   Seniors – there will be a presentation on life after high school in the auditorium on Monday, November 12 during 5th hour.  You need to go to class for attendance and then go to the auditorium.  Pizza and pop will also be provided, compliments of Baker College!  This is a fun presentation with great information that will be important to you after graduation.   This is the last call for any student interested in dual enrollment for 2nd semester.  If you are interested, you need to see Mrs. Richardson this week.   ATHLETICS   BASKETBALL – boys basketball try-outs begin Monday, November 12.  JV will meet in the gym from 5-6:30 and varsity 6:30-8:00.  You must have a current physical card on file in the athletic office.  See Ms Gilson if you have questions.   WRESTLING – practice begins Monday, November 12 from 5:30-7:00 in the cafeteria.  You must have a current physical card on file in the athletic office.  See Ms. Gilson if you have questions.   Senior Athletes – applications are available for the MHSAA-Farm Bureau Scholar Athlete Award.   Lake City may submit applications for three boys and three girls.  See Ms. Gilson for eligibility requirements and an application.  Deadline for application is Wednesday, November 19.
