Camp Rotary counselor application packets are available in the office during lunch or after school for all interested seniors, juniors, and sophomores.
Juniors – there will be a prom committee meeting in Mr. Bongard’s room Friday, January 4 at lunch.
Locker clean out has been rescheduled for Friday, January 4 during 2nd hour. The schedule is as follows: 9th – 9:15-9:25, 10th – 9:25-9:35, 11th – 9:35-9:45, and 12th – 9:45-9:55.
There will be a student council meeting today at 12:10 in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room. Be on time.
Seniors, it is finally 2013! Since graduation and the senior trip are only a few short months away, please remember that your class dues are due by February 1. This is the absolute last day dues will be collected. You must have your dues paid to go on the senior trip. If you are not sure how much you owe, please see Mrs. McNalley or Storm Francisco.
Interested in staying in shape this winter? Not playing a winter sport? Bring your friends and join the LC winter running/fitness club! It starts next week Tuesday. Stop by Mr. Webb’s room to pick up a flyer with more information if you are interested!

COUNSELOR’S CORNER Seniors – the FAFSA may be filed any time now, as soon as your 2012 taxes are done. The deadline is March 1. If you did not make it to Financial Aid Night, you can stop in Mrs. Richardson’s office to get the information. February 10 is college goal Sunday. You can take your information to Baker College in Cadillac from 2-4 p.m. and advisors will be available to help you file the FAFSA. Most of the local scholarships are due to Mrs. Richardson by Friday, January 18 by 3:30pm. If you need letters of recommendation, start asking now, do not wait until the last week. If you didn’t get the applications at Financial Aid night, you can pick them up in Mrs. Richardson’s office. Juniors and Seniors – if you are interested in the agricultural industry, there will be a presentation for high school students to learn more about the opportunities available in this growing industry on Tuesday, January 15. It will be held in Lansing put on by the Michigan Agri-Business Association. Transportation may be available depending on interest. If you are interested, see Mrs. Richardson right away. Registration is due next Monday. The Annual Careers for Women conference will be held on Tuesday, February 5 at Fox Hill Event Center in Cadillac. It will be an all-day event highlighting non-traditional careers for women. There are several speakers lined up to make for an interesting day. Lunch will be provided. High school girls in 10th–12th grade may sign up in Mrs. Richardson’s office if interested. “Get a good idea and stay with it.
