Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Cassie Young.

 

SENIORS – we will distribute cap and gown packages during noon and after school on Wednesday, May 15.  You must pay for your cap and gown before we can give it to you.  Don’t forget that TWO mandatory graduation practices have been scheduled for Thursday and Friday, May 23 and 24 at 9:00 a.m.  Meet in the auditorium – do not be late!   Do you consider yourself an actor or actress?  Are you looking for an opportunity to have your moment in the spot light?  Then consider signing up for Drama!  If you are interested, please stop by Mr. Webb’s room to get information, sign up, and pick up an audition form.  Auditions will take place May 28 – 31 during lunch or after school.    SENIORS - please remember to get your senior trip permission slips in to Ms. Morse as soon as possible.  Without the signed slip, you will not be going on the trip.   Tutoring is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15 in room 13.   Math tutoring is scheduled for Thursday, May 16 with Mrs. VanderBrook.     COUNSELOR’S CORNER   If you are in need of credit recovery and would like to make up credits during the summer, see Mrs. Richardson for a form. The Lake City Federation of Teachers is offering a scholarship to Lake City graduates who have been accepted into the education department of an approved university.  Scholarship applications are available from Mrs. Richardson and are due by Aug. 1, 2013.  Seniors, if you are going into education keep this in mind when you enter the program.     ATHLETICS   Varsity baseball/softball @ Beal City, dismissal time 2:15 p.m., bus departs at 2:30 p.m., game starts at 4:30 p.m.   JV softball vs Beal City, home, game starts at 4:30 p.m.   Varsity track @ Beal City, dismissal time 2:15 p.m., bus departs at 2:30 p.m., meet starts at 4:30 p.m.   VOLLEYBALL – if you are interested in playing volleyball next year, there will be a short mandatory meeting on Friday, May 17 in the auditorium at 12:15 p.m.  Coach will discuss summer information.   There will be a mandatory football sign up meeting Wednesday, May 15 at 11:45 in the gym.
