Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Ciara Richardson.

 

Science tutoring is scheduled today in Mrs. Thom’s room from 3:20-4:00 p.m.

 

Any student 16 or older who would like to donate blood next Friday, please sign-up with Cylee Burns or online on the school website. You get a free snack and juice, an hour out of class, and could save a life, or three!

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

Michigan Youth Leadership is planning their annual MYLead Conference for current high school sophomores.  There are two conferences this year and our school can send up to four people.  They are held at MSU mid-May and June, Friday through Sunday.  Let me Mrs. Richardson know if you would like to be nominated to attend.

 

Seniors – today is the deadline to register for Mid-Michigan Community College’s Laker Distinction Scholarship Competition.  If you have a 3.5 GPA or higher, you may qualify for a full tuition scholarship.  See Mrs. Richardson if you have questions.

 

There will be a meeting for students interested in taking a Dual Enrollment or Independent Study class for 2nd semester on Wednesday, October 28 in the auditorium. If you are interested but cannot attend the meeting, see Mrs. Richardson.

ATHLETICS

 

Varsity football at Manton, bus departs at 5:35 p.m., game starts at 7:00 p.m.

 

Saturday – Varsity cross country regionals

 

Attention JV and varsity volleyball players - practice times Monday have been changed

Monday, October 27 to JV from 3:30-5:00 and varsity from 5:00-6:30.

 

There will be a short sign-up meeting for boys interested in trying out for basketball on Monday, October 27 from 12:10-12:30 in the auditorium.

 

VOLLEYBALL AND CROSS COUNTRY ATHLETES: parents’ night is scheduled for Tuesday,

October 28.  If you have not already registered with Ms. Gilson do so today.
