Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Joe Liestenfeltz.

 

There is a student council meeting today at lunch in Mrs. VanderBroook’s room.

 

There will be a half day of school tomorrow with high school students dismissed at 11:40 a.m., and no school on Friday.  Thursday AM CTC students will attend as normal, PM may attend but will have to provide their own transportation.   Friday CTC students may attend CTC but must provide their own transportation.

 

Math tutoring is scheduled for tomorrow in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room at 11:40 a.m.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

There is an opportunity to volunteer on Saturday, October 25, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  at an event sponsored by the Lake City Womans’ Club.  If you are interested, let Mrs. Richardson know.  Remember – volunteer work looks great on applications and resumes!

 

Tonight is college night at Cadillac High School.  It is from 6:30–8 p.m. in the auxiliary gym.  All juniors and seniors are invited and it is a great way to talk with reps and gather information from colleges.

 

Juniors and seniors – Grand Valley will be here today at 1:15 p.m. Saginaw Valley will be here tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.  If you would like to see their rep, sign up in the office before school, after school, or during lunch

 

The Wexford-Missaukee Career Technical Center is holding their annual open house tomorrow from 5–7 p.m.  It is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the center and programs they offer.

 

ATHLETICS

 

Varsity cross country Highland Jamboree @ Pine River, dismissal time 2:45 p.m., bus departs at

3:00 p.m., meet starts at 4:30 p.m.

 

Bear Claw trash bags will be ready for pick up on Monday, October 20 after school at the concession

stand.  You must make arrangements to pick them up and deliver to your customers.

 

Parents’ night for the varsity football and cheer teams is scheduled for Friday, October 17 (next Friday).  You must register your parents with Ms. Gilson by 11:40 a.m. tomorrow.
